Graco Affix Highback Booster Seat with Latch System, Atomic

Having been in an accident before (where the infant car seat saved our son’s life), safety was paramount so lots of research went into this and even after making my choice, I was still a bit nervous but after several months of use, DS and I are both happy with this seat! We transitioned from the Graco Extend2Fit so this was quite the leap but we decided that our son (48 inches, 50 lbs) was ready for a harness free, high back booster. What I wanted was a quality seat with latch system (✔️) and what he wanted was a “red and black booster” (✔️) so in the end, we both got what we wanted! The cup holder (located underneath the seat) was easy to find and install. Once in, it’s not going anywhere! The snack tray is nice if needed and slides in easily if not. The seat itself is pretty sturdy without adding a lot of bulk or weight. It is much easier to carry around than our previous seat! The basic latch system (same as previous) makes it slightly harder to switch between vehicles than other boosters but is worth it in my opinion! I like to know that it’s anchored in with or without our son sitting in it (others just flop around in the car and I’d worry about what might happen if we were ever hit again). I also like that the seat belt stays threaded through the shoulder guide when not in use which was an issue with others we looked at. The seat belt lays across his lap perfectly and the back can keep growing with him as he gets taller until I feel comfortable going backless or he’s ready to go without a booster. I was a little worried about the integrity of the back when first installed as the higher it slides up, the less sturdy it felt… However, once he was properly seated, I felt better and we’ve not had any issues since it was installed. Again, safety comes first in my book but for the price, I’d say we got a pretty great seat overall and our son asked that I “give it 5 stars please” for comfort and color. If you’re ready to transition to a harness free booster, I feel good about recommending this seat! We’ve stuck with Graco since our son was born and have never regretted that decision!

I love this car seat!! It was so easy to assemble, took me 5 minutes. The quality is great and has nice padding. Very easy to adjust the height. Also very easy to clean. The anchors to the vehicle gave me a peace of mind switching from a 5 point harness to a high back booster seat. Very easy to put in your vehicle. Can’t recommend this car seat enough!!!

I ordered this car seat for my 6 year old daughter 2 days ago and it arrived today. Shipping was fast. Putting the seat together was easy and quick. Cup holder was underneath the seat. I did use the latch system with install and it was really easy. My daughter says the seat is comfy. I was looking for a high back booster that would fit my tiny car. I have a 2018 mitsubishi mirage hatchback. Very small car. Fits my car perfectly. Drop offs and pick ups at her school will be so much easier now. She can easily take her seat belt off by herself and thanks to the latch system, I don't have to have the seat belt on the seat to prevent it from moving around while driving and unoccupied cause the latch system secures it in place. No more adjusting a harness and getting a tight fit and no more harness straps twisting and no more getting out of my car to unharness her for drop offs.

Growing with child, cleans easily

This booster came needing to be assembled, which was an easy process when following the directions. Once together, I really like the design that does not require rethreading when adjusting the back of the seat's height. This is one of my favorite things about Graco - they are considerate to making the carseat process as simple and quick as possible. Once assembled, I placed it in my husband's truck (as this is a secondary carseat for my son, not the primary). The process was very quick and easy to get a secure lock. My son sat in it to test comfort, height adjustment, and to toy around with the idea of the seatbelt (he is still harnessed in the booster transformer I have in my car). The seatbelt has good placement in all areas and seems to fit securely, but also comfortably for my son. Things I do not care for as much, though: The red ring on either side of the upper neck, lower ear area of the carseat is made to where it is too easy for my son to pull the seatbelt to buckle himself in and pull the seatbelt out of that loop. I wish there was a more secure fit here because that will be a worry every time he buckles and potentially a hassle to fix if I am seated upfront before noticing the issue. The booster's padding is not as thick around the head as it is on other carseats I own (all Graco brand). The head area's padding feels flimsy in comparison to the other, better carseats we have purchased and used for years from Graco. Final takeaway: We found ourselves needed a backup carseat and my son is ready for a booster, so for our backup car, we went with a booster seat without the harness system. This seat, then, was never intended to be my boy's primary seat and I spent more money to make his primary a very nice one. For the lower price, you are able to get a booster that is easy to assemble, easy to install, and easy to buckle a kid into. The seat is comfortable, according to my son, and has a cup holder, which is a must. I wish there was more padding, but you get what you pay for and this is supposed to be safety tested and a safe seat.

Buscar un asiento para niños siempre es toda una odisea, si son muy baratos no brindan una protección adecuada, si son muy caros tienen cosas que no se utilizan, pero este, este se cuece aparte. La base tiene el tamaño ideal para no ser ni muy estorboso ni muy raquítico, tiene sistema latch, que al combinarlo con el sistema isofix del coche da como resultado que este se mantenga en su lugar, tiene también descansabrazos, un portavasos y un compartimento que abre y cierra para guardar cosas, la cabecera del respaldo puede hacerse hacia arriba para crecer con tu puchunguis y a los lados de esta tiene unas aberturas por donde pasas el cinturon de seguridad y le queda perfecto al niño o niña en cuestión sin lastimarle el cuello, además en rojo se ve de pelos, no aburrido como los otros colores que venden.

Bought this for my 3.5-year-old. Fitted perfectly in my ecosport rear seat ISOFIT. The seat was easy to assemble, lightweight and has quality look and feel. Attaching/detaching this from the car is a breeze. My daughter loved it, she needs to be trained to sit with seatbelt put on.

La silla es muy buena para la función que se menciona, muy fácil y rápido de armar, el uso en el vehículo también es fácil y no pesa mucho, además que su instalación puede hacerse en cualquier silla del vehículo, no es muy cómoda para viajes muy largos para los niños más pequeños si se quedan dormidos, pues la posición de la silla deja un poco incómodo la cabeza. Pero en todo lo demás está muy bien, una excelente compra
