The story so far...
The media could not be loaded. I was merrily cutting away at the grass edges with the edging attachment and thinking, yes this is okay I love it, when I decided to trim the grass under and around some ferns, everything was going well until I accidentally hit the fibrous and admittedly quite thick stem of a fern. So I didn't expect it to cut through this, but I also didn't expect the metal to bind; I would have expected it to block and jam but it seems the metal is softer than a stem and it actually had buckled the metal. I thought when I first saw the clipper than the metal didn't look great quality compared to my full size clippers. So, after filing down the edge of the metal where it was binding because of lumpy bit of metal we were off again so all is good. So with the grass cutter the moral of the story is stay well away from stems, just keep on the grass! The good thing is my edges have never looked neater and it really makes a difference to the appearance of the lawn. I know you're wondering how the hedge clipper attachment did, well after rage fixing the grass clipper I was in no mood to try the hedge clipper just yet, but I will, and update this review. In summary, the thing works, it had decent power; the thing that I was mainly wondering about before I bought it was having to hold down two buttons to operate it but you don't have to do this, you press the sideways button (one side depending on which hand you use) then press the button underneath, then you can let go of the side button and it will continue to operate, so that's good. The main body and motor of the clipper seems robust and of good quality, but is slightly let down by the metal on the attachments. I would be prepared to pay more for a better quality attachment, but I don't know if they are all like this anyway as this is the first mini clipper I've owned. I'm hoping the hedge attachment will fair better as they have a different cutting action and designed for stems; yes I know they are only for new growth, I don't expect to be cutting through woody stems, but you can't completely avoid them can you, but anyway we will see, I'll update soon! My rating is just based on my experience so far and I will change the rating accordingly when I try the hedge attachment.UPDATE: So, I tried the hedge trimmer attachment, and yea it did okay on new growth, I obviously hit a few thin woody stems and it got through them okay but I wouldn't want to force it through the patches of dense semi woody bits (my privit hedge varies a lot in density). I have got tons of privit hedge so it would obviously take a while with this, I know it's probably designed for small soft hedging whatever that would be, so you really still need a large hedge clipper to get through a privit hedge quickly and neatly. However this little thing I found really good for the pokey bits on the edges of a tall privit, you know what I mean; this thing was ideal instead of lifting up a heavy clipper or standing on ladders, with this little trimmer you can neaten the edges with ease and safety. Overall a decent tool to help you out but I'm afraid not an alternative to a big clipper if you've got lots of dense privit. I did find that holding down the button which is designed for one finger is a bit difficult after a while especially when using the sideways sweeping action of the hedge attachment, it would be better if the trigger was a long button for four fingers, that would be more comfortable, and I also feel like I need to put my other hand on the body of the clipper when using it sideways; it is just a bit of a strain after a while using one handed but there is nowhere to grip it really, I began holding on to the battery pack to get a more comfortable action.I think it needs to have a slightly longer blade and as I said a longer trigger and a second handle. Oh btw, I haven't need to charge it up again yet and there's been no loss of power, I think I must have used both attachments for about an hour in total.

Excellent tool
The battery life is amazing.Only drawback is that you have to keep the trigger pressed for it to work which is a little uncomfortable...but ensures you don't burn it out!

It is great for certain purposes
The battery is very useful and lasts well between charging, the clippers and trimmer are most effective for bush trimming and light to medium duty , much better and easier than secoteurs , makes garden maintenance more of a pleasure than a chore - but does not work on heavy stems and branches as it is not designed for this purpose. Make sure you clean between uses - WD40 spray will keep the blades in top condition.

Lightweight.
It's OK for very light work, the hedge trimmer is good for new growth, more than about 5mm and it will jam. The grass trimmer is what it says, grass only. Very easy to change blades and operate, plus very light to use.

A must have replacement for fuel propelled equipment
Awesome tool. Brought because fed up of blunt shears made of cheap metal, that need endless sharpening. Far safer for wildlife than a strimmer as hand held gives you the time to look out for it. I used for the first time on and off for about 40mins to trim back our wildflower meadow and still have battery left. Great tool for non-petrol heads.
