Game changer
I rarely write reviews but this shoe was a total game changer in my recovery from hammertoe surgery. Keeping pressure off my toes seemed to be key to recovery but the shoe that my doctor gave me did not allow for that. After just 1 day of using the VIVE offloading shoe, I felt total comfort and relief. I was able to walk comfortably all day with the VIVE shoe and not feel pain afterwards. I did not feel unbalanced at all. I had a similar height shoe to wear on my other foot and I quickly learned to put the weight on my heel. The shoe helped to do this naturally. It did not take any extra effort. I highly recommend it.

Offloads
Helped so much to take the pressure and subsequent pain off the front of my foot. I couldn’t walk due to a toe sprain. Got this and it helped so much! Only problem I had was that it was a little taller than my barefeet or with shoes on so it still made me limp and therefore cause pain to my opposite side for having to make up the difference. It could be a little shorter but that’s being picky.

No rubber sole as advertised and too tall in height
The post op shoe was advertised to have a rubber sole, but it was a hard plastic, making it very loud when walking and not allow any supportive cushioning. Additionally, the size was too big in length and height, and thus, putting pressure on the area that needed protecting and creating a significant inbalance when walking.

THE BEST FOREFOOT OFFLOADING SHOE FOR PAIN RELIEF & COMFORT
This shoe could have some Pros and Cons, based on what is most important to you:-Do you want a lower platform or is a higher platform ok?Some folks may not have a tall platform shoe to wear with a taller Forefoot Offloading Shoe. Me, I have a huge selection of platform shoes so platform height wasn’t a concern for me.-Do you want rounded toe box or a square toe box? While I prefer rounded, I was willing to wear whichever shoe would relieve my pain the most.-Do you want an “even” walking feel or are you ok with an Offloading Shoe that “sinks” your heel a bit?I thought I wanted a nice “even” feel, but this design which sinks my heel down a bit kept more pressure off of my forefoot which made walking significantly LESS painful.-Higher platforms tend to sink your heel while standing/walking; lower platforms seemed to keep my foot more even … but I found the sunken heel relieved more of my foot pain (top priority) as it kept more weight off of my forefoot. While I experienced back-muscle pain with both tall and short platforms, as you have an uneven gait while wearing the shoe, other reviewers mention the back-muscle pain is only temporary as you’ll either get used to walking in the Shoe or you’ll be healed and can stop wearing the Shoe :-)This shoe is AMAZING:The two highly adjustable straps made for a perfect fit whether broad or narrow foot, design of the ankle strap prevented any shoe slippage without cutting off circulation (I have a narrow heel so this was my favorite feature), the shoe without socks feels soft on your skin, it has a square toe box which protects your toes, it did not slip at all while walking on carpet and/or tile, it’s a higher platform shoe with a sunken heel which for me seems to alleviate more pain, the heel platform is slightly rounded so you don’t walk like Frankenstein, and with an accompanying similar height shoe on my other foot I found this shoe quite easy to walk in and very comfortable to wear. The only downside I found was the front of the shoe creates a clack’ing sound with each step (clack, clack, clack) … but that could be just me as I wear a 7.5-8 shoe and this shoe fits up to a size 9. Either way it’s no bother — I only wear it when I run errands, and everything else about this Shoe is just so perfect.I purchased a second shoe, lower platform, for comparison (See Photos). If you’re looking for a Forefoot Offloading Shoe that is very comfortable, highly adjustable, and great at relieving pain then you will l o v e this shoe :-)

Good product wrong size delivered
I bought it once in the extra small size. It was exactly what I needed. It fit great. But within three weeks, it fell apart. The sole came off. However, the product was good so I ordered another one but the second time around they sent me the wrong size they sent a large boot. I would like to order another one, but I hesitate because I can’t afford to get the wrong one again. If it doesn’t fit right it hurts my foot.

Game-changer that I'm SO grateful for!
I LOVE this shoe! I just had a toe amputated and desperately needed to stay on my heel, and I wasn't doing such a great job of that on my own. This shoe is a game changer for me! I haven't had *any* problems using this and balancing isn't really an issue either. I keep wondering if this might be easier for women, since most of us have some experience wearing heels, to some extent, whereas men might have some difficulty adjusting to it, but that's just my speculation. Ultimately, I'm just so grateful for this product!

Good quality
I had surgery to correct a bunion, hammer toe, and a third toe issue. I purchased this product because the padding in the heal of the one that was prescribed by my doctor’s office lost its cushion affect after three weeks of use. So far this product has held up better after the same amount of time. I am female and I wear an 8.5 wide tennis shoe. I definitely have extra room at the end of this medium sized shoe which is fine. The adjustable straps allow for ACE bandages and gauze. I no longer need an ACE bandage or gauze, just a regular sock and found that the shoe is a bit too large now. I thought about purchasing a smaller size, but I will soon be going into a special sandal prescribed by my doctor, so I just wear a thicker sock instead. You will likely get a sore calf muscle at first, but it is not the fault of the shoe. It is simply because the is designed to put all the pressure on your heel instead of your toes. After a while, you will strengthen your muscle and that will not be an issue. I do suggest trying to find a tennis shoe or boot that has equal height as you will have an uneven gate otherwise. Again, not the fault of the product. It is designed the same as the one that my surgeon prescribed. I do recommend this product.

IT Worked
Bought this due to breaking my middle toe, It takes the pressure off the front part of my toes when walking. used a crutch stick for balance, cheap and cheerful but does the job.

Great for torn toe tendon
I tore a tendon in my second toe, so it’s really awkward because I put all my weight on it when walking but it’s hard to find things that support it since it’s not the big toe. I tried doing it myself with bandages but it just got worse. This did the job!It basically stops you from putting ANY weight on your toes and stops them from bending AT ALL.Takes some getting used to but it is very sturdy. I even played golf in it. Great quality!
