I wish I had tried this kind of hair clip sooner. These are so much gentler on my kinky-coily afro-natural hair. There is no snagging or pulling at all. I often need to separate my hair after washing (to detangle and apply products) and during the week (to moisturize my scalp). I have been using duckbill clips or claw clips. Even the plastic duckbill clips snag at my hair or feel as if they are tearing pieces. Claw clips don't leave enough room for my hands to style my hair or moisturize my scalp.The only downside to these is that it can be hard to open the clip when my hands are damp. That's not a big deal compared to all the benefits. I probably won't use another kind of clip now.As for these specifically, I like having different colors for some reason. These are very sturdy. I was worried about that because my hair is thick. The clips hold the hair down and lay flat enough that they don't get in the way when I am trying to reach my scalp or the other sections of my hair. I also like that they came in a reusable plastic baggie with a slide closure. The price is amazing for the quality. I'm very happy.
