I recently visited Cabelas and was looking at their hammock accessories. I noticed a carabiner that came with the Kammock brand of Hammocks and liked the weight and the way the spring snapped back. The Kammock carabiner was not for sale as a standalone item, and now I am glad that it was not. I started looking around amazon and found what they were using but did not like the specs. Continuing my research I found your product the specs looked like a much better fit for my needs as I am a bit larger that I would like to be. It seemed a superior product. I have already used them this past weekend and am very pleased!"

So I like Hiker Hunger products, and I needed a few extra Carabiners. I figure they are all about the same, and I just assumed that I usually buy 24kn wiregates. As it turns out, most of the ones here on Amazon seem to be 12kn. You can't really appreciate the difference until you see them side by side and hold them in your hand. I will honestly never probably put more than 280lbs on these (ever), but if I have to buy more... I'm buying these.

I selected these wiregate carabiners because they are rated at 24kn. Similar products are rated for 17kn to 20kn. I decided to get the stronger biners for my hammock system. They are larger than similar product by about half an ounce, but I don't mind that with the extra strength!These are good for camping/hiking/hammock, but i would not suggest this as a key chain, it's just too big.

Our backyard play equipment including zip line and rock and cargo net climbing walls, plus safety equipment have many needs for strong reliable D rings like these.

I use these to set up my tarp when I hammock camp .. ABSOLUTELY THE BEST..

These are beautiful 'biners (I got the 'silver'-colored pair). Very light weight, just as the site stated. Haven't tried to break them yet, but it sure would be interesting to watch when they do break (from a distance)...

The clips are working really well! I recently bought a hammock that I am going to use for camping and the hammock came with some metal hooks but I felt like replacing those with carabiner clips would be more secure.The reason I chose the clips you all offered on Amazon was a combination of price and strength of product. I certainly did not choose the cheapest clips but I wasn't interested in falling out of a tree either :)
