Superior value for the price.
High quality product for the price. I was surprised the mix was as rich and full as it is based on the price. I ordered three jars. To make a really good and presentable pie I used 2 jars. The third jar will be used as a topping on various desserts. Potato or pumpkin pie is enhanced with a spoonful on top and serves beautifully. Pecan pie is even more delicious with a spoonful beside the slice. A slice of brown sugar, bourbon, pound cake is wonderful with an additional spoonful of this mix. And it does not take long to use a jar when you serve it a tablespoon at a time at a gathering.

Arrived intact! Great for fruitcake
I make fruitcake for my FIL every Christmas. His mom's recipe. Which of course calls for mincemeat that you can't buy at regular stores anymore (if your grocery store actually carries it lucky you!). But wow have I had trouble getting it from Amazon. Last year I had to order 3 times because the jars kept coming poorly packed and smashed. And many don't have 2 day shipping so you're waiting forever for them to come. Well, today this box shows up on our porch. Medium sized box--about 1.5 footx1footx1 foot ish. And the whole side of it is knocked in. Of course I think--okay there's the mincemeat. And yup. I don't know what the deal is here, but almost EVERY other item I receive from Amazon--if it's in a larger box that it doesn't fill, they'll at LEAST put some paper or something in there with it. Even if it's not a fragile item. But I open the box and in this big box there's this small jar of mincemeat and one other very small item I ordered. No extra filling at all. VERY VERY luckily the mincemeat jar is wrapped in a couple of layers of bubble wrap. And somehow it survived that way. So grateful to have it so I can make my fruitcake, but just be warned!! This has been a crazy journey the last couple of years trying to get the mincemeat here intact and for some reason this is just an item they are totally clueless about shipping properly... And this stuff is not cheap! But it definitely makes the fruitcake!

I guess you love it or hate it...
Perhaps it's a taste bud thing, but I have always loved Nonesuch mincemeat-pumpkin pie combo. As a few others have said, "I just had to throw this out!" It was a crushing disappointment. And an embarassment. No one liked it at the family dinner. I understand Nonesuch is now available mail order in limited quantities. I will stock up for Christmas and next year if I can.I bought 2 jars of Robertson's as they are half the size of Nonesuch and I will be throwing out the unopened one. To me the flavor is bitter and not at all fruity. More sugar in the pumpkin filling might have helped. In the past I have decreased that sugar as the Nonesuch mincemeat had plenty. The "apples" in the Robertson's had no flavor and looked like grains of rice. Weird.I am happy for those who liked this, but I can't recommend it at all. (I had been hopeful as I love Robertson's marmalade!)

Delicious
Delicious and expensive. You need 2 1/2-3 jars to make a proper pie.

Found this to be very tasty and not overpowered by Sugar Content.
It is hard to find Mince Meat now not sure why other than young adults today have no idea what it is and think its gross. I grew up with mince meat pies and pastries that mom would make for the holidays, and I have carried on that tradition when I can find the mince meat to do so. I remember the days when mom would make her own mince meat and used Venison Suet. Yum.

Seems pricey for what you get
I guess I didn't read the description well enough, because this is an awfully small jar for the price. I feel it would take 2 jars for a decent poe. I'm just going to mix my jar with a jar of apple pie filling, and hope for the best

Absolutely wonderful!
I couldn’t find any mincemeat anywhere this Christmas season. One supermarket (which showed it in stock online) didn’t even know where it would be stocked. A baker there actually suggested I try the deli! I finally ordered it here and, while it took a while to arrive, I had it in time. Each 14.5 oz jar yielded two 5” tarts. I supplemented with apple tarts. I hope US markets rediscover how wonderful mince pies are!
