Waterproof!
I did a ton research before deciding what to use on my $200 Emu Australia Leather boots. Originally they were waterproof but with the 1st snow this Minnesota winter my feet were wet so I new I needed to do something. First I used saddle soap and a boot conditioner (Bick More brand) then a spray waterproofing (Kiwi Camp Dry) I followed all the directions of both but after running my boot under the faucet I could see that it didn't the trick. Then I bought this liquid Mink oil and I couldn't be happier! I put this right on top of everything else, not only are my boots waterproof but they are soft. I didn't realize they weren't soft until this softened them and I see the difference. I was having a hard time with zipper prior to using this but now it slides up and down with no hesitation, I didn't intentionally put it on my zipper, I think its because my boots are softer and my plyable now & maybe a little got on the zipper but it helped either way.I highly recommend this stuff! My boots are already black so it didn't affect the color but you can see the different in the pic with the boot thats treated and the one that isn't yet. It leaves more of a mat finish then it does a shine so if you want shiny I would use this and put a polish over it. My boots look and feel hydrated, I will defiantly purchase in the future when I run out but a little goes a long way, this bottle will last a long long time!

The best leather protector/conditioner on the market
I have been using Mink Oil for a lifetime on all of my daily wear work boots and cowboy boots, including a few made of goatskin, without any issues. It is a great cleaner, excellent conditioner, and naturally water proofs leather products perfectly. It is easy to apply and wipe off the excess without staining or build up. I love this product and highly recommend as one of the best I have found so far.

Mixture of mink oil and neats foot oil.
Used it on my first leather project. Made a sheath for a hand axe. The oil takes the light leather color and deepens it to a pretty brown color. Readily absorbed by the leather and seems to make it more flexible.

Easy Application, Inexpensive, Middle of the Road Coating
This was very easy to apply on my 3 rotations of Redwing Irish Setters. It doesn't appear to maintain the luster as well as some of the balm/wax items sold in Redwing stores but it's far easier to apply. 2 minutes with a quick wipe to remove grime, concrete dust, etc. The. A 2 minute quick application. I let the boots dry overnight. I wonder if the boot drier I use reduces the life expectancy of the product as well? My newest boots and my middle rotation boots shown with product applied. 2 coats each. Didn't change the color of the newest leather but changed the color of my older boots.
