Red eye for TVs
Yes, this product is very very good. We have a television and every time the television would come up the redeye wouldn’t make contact so I put this equipment on up a little bit higher and it works beautiful. Make sure that you have it plugged into an AC outlet instead of the TV because if you turn the TV on, it’s not indicating because it’s off. Have a great day happy Trails.

Simple IR Extender That Works Exactly as It Should
I bought this to solve a very specific problem after installing a new larger TV. The TV physically blocked the IR receiver on my A/V receiver, so I needed a way to get the remote signal around the obstruction without changing anything else in my home theater setup. Installation couldn't have been much easier. The USB-A connection provides power and then splits to the IR receiver and transmitter. I mounted the receiver in a low-profile location underneath the TV where I'm naturally pointing the remotes anyway, then routed the transmitter to the A/V receiver. Mine is positioned roughly 10 inches from the receiver's IR sensor rather than attached directly over it, and it works perfectly. One feature I particularly appreciate is the small blue LED in the IR receiver. It flashes when it detects a remote command, providing immediate confirmation that the extender received the signal. That's useful during setup and also makes troubleshooting very straightforward if something ever stops responding. The receiver and transmitter have adhesive backing already installed, so once I found the right location I simply stuck it down and routed the cable. After installation, the entire setup is unobtrusive and essentially disappears. Overall, this does exactly what I wanted an IR extender to do. Installation is simple, the signal transmission has been completely reliable, and the blue confirmation LED is a particularly useful touch. I installed it, verified that everything worked, and stopped thinking about it. That's about the best compliment I can give a product like this.

Not just for home theaters!
While advertised for home theater setups, this device is useful for anyone struggling with their TV remote not working correctly from different positions. My issue was that my JBL soundbar blocked the IR sensor on my Hisense TV,(The IR sensor is located at the front of the tv and receives your remote commands.) Because of this, I had to hold the remote overhead and aim it at the TV to get it to work. The CableMatters IR Extender Cable solved this problem perfectly. I simply plugged one end into the TV’s USB port, attached the extender’s IR sender to the back of my soundbar using the adhesive sticker, aligning it with the TV’s IR sensor, and then positioned the IR receiver from the extender in front of the soundbar. Suddenly, the remote worked from any position in the room without needing to aim it directly at the TV. I highly recommend the CableMatters Infrared Remote Extender Cable—an affordable solution to a frustrating issue!

An essential item now, but mine broke 9 months in
It's super useful, because there's a slight obstruction to my TV IR reader from where I sit in bed. About 9 months into use, it started working for periods of time or the response would be laggy. It'd require a reset or something where I had to point the remote at the TV to get it working again. Bought a replacement and it totally fixed the problem, so not sure why the old one broke, since it just sits there on my TV

Wish I'd had it sooner
Connected and working in under a minute! This extender cable works perfectly for a blu ray player that's attached behind a wall mounted TV. It looks great because it's barely noticeable. The adhesives are firmly secure after over two weeks of use.

Cable Matters IR Transmitter & Receiver
A very nice, extra long IR cable, easy to connect and use. This item has a very wide receiving range compared to some of the smaller ones out there that you have to point directly at. It is also very susceptible to breaking and can get caught on the bottom of furniture or speakers. I recommend using self-stick cable guides to protect it once ready to permanently put in use to keep from accidently breaking it, but is it warranted for 1 year through the manufacturer. The transmitter end is placed in front of your unit and the receiver is on the longer end with a USB connector to go to power- so you need a wall plug adapter that DOES NOT come with it, but any USB wall adapter works with it. I loved mine until I accidently broke it. It is a proprietary product. Make sure it will work with your equipment before ordering as some equipment uses a 1.5mm mini plug. You do not need anything else with it as it is a self contained unit, other than the wall adapter.

Samsung Frame TV fix
A great DIY $9 fix vs the $200 my AV guy was going to charge me. Our new cable remote would not work with the decorative frame on my Samsung Frame TV and required using both the TV remote in addition to the cable remote to change the TV volume. Works great now with only one remote.

Low transmit range limits utility
They warn us in the literature that range from emitter to the controlled device should be less than 5 in. From some frustrated tinkering with a mini split, this is true... Not like the old blasters that can be put anywhere in line of sight to the target machines. Otherwise, very practical for some applications and easy to use. The blue LED on the receiver would be better placed the active face in my opinion... If it's mounted high on a wall with the curved front looking out at remote-land, you can't see the blinkie. It's very difficult to get a sense from the literature about what plane the receive sensor is in. Coplanar with the surface it's bonded to, or at 90° to that? None of the information here in the listing or in the little scrap of paper included makes that unambiguously clear so it takes a lot of tinkering

Muy bueno
Funciona adecuadamente. Sirve para mandar la. Señal a los aparatos que tengo en un closet y muy bien. Sólo hay que posicionar bien el emisor para que no haya fallas

1st class. works really well
Works REALLY well. Only drawback, I need to plug into a wall charger. It doesn't pull much power, so a battery pack keeps turning off. I'm using to control a small Pattern light projector as a backdrop for musicians. ``the remote only has a short range ( and needed to be in front of it) this has sorted my dillema.

Problemlos
