There two sizes the one on the picture is about 5& 1/2 inches tall and 4 inches width

I am not sure if they are. I can tell you that they last a long time and the scents are very special and intense. I highly recommend them. I just have no idea if they're petroleum based or not. I tried to look it up on their website but, I was unsuccessful. Sorry I was not able to answer your question.
