Boy Who Caught A Crook

I love this movie, but l might be biased since Roger Mobley is my big brother. I think he was a pretty good actor.

Love the old movies. Reminded me of the old shows of the Little Rascals. I like shows that end well, where good nature overcomes the bad.

Pretty good acting...for the time it was made...just a little hokey but really not bad! Great family movie.

Great movie from the past.

Looks more like 1955 type flic - childish and hokie by even by 1960 standards.

A newsboy (Roger Mobley) and his old friend (Don Beddoe) find an empty briefcase in this children's suspense film. A former bank robber claims the briefcase is his and it was filled with money. This is when the suspense comes in--the bank robber chasing after the finders and the finders trying to avoid being captured. To make this suspense even worse is that the boy does a lot of lying throughout the film, thus making it extremely hard just who and what to believe.Considered a family film of sorts back in the 1960s, this film may not be considered as such by today's standards since the film does include some violence--the old man gets beaten and the boy, in addition to his lying, also gets hit. But overall, I find this an enjoyable black-and-white film with an interesting cast of Roger Mobley, Don Beddoe and Wanda Hendrix (playing the boy's mother).

I am sorry that this movie is not available for video streaming. I liked Roger Mobley a super whole lot. This movie has a typical story line of a person who witnesses a crime. Goes and investigates the person doing the crime. Then his life is put in peril as the criminal fearing that he'll be caught goes after the witness to get the cash that was stolen. I liked Roger Mobley who played as a newspaper boy in this movie. He gets a one hundred dollar bill from a Los Angeles police detective for giving some information on the robbery. The crook, thinking that the boy has more than one hundred dollars roughs up the boy. There is other parts of the movie that are interesting like naming a dog the Colonol (military rank above a major) The plot line is simple, but I certainly enjoyed it.

this took me back to my own childhood and roger mobley is a fine young actor and plays a very believable role.this story can be viewed by all ages
