HYS 433Mhz 3dbi Omni Antenna 50 Ohm GSM Aerial W/3M(9.8ft) RG58 Coaxial Cable SMA Male Plug and Mounting Bracket

This is a very simple little antenna (good thing too since there's no instructions). However, it works great. I got it hooked up to my TinyGS and even before I figured out how I wanted it mounted, I got packets for the first time as shown in the picture. Now I just have to mount it.The hardware is all good. The cable is nicely made. Overall, a great little antenna.

I'm using this antenna to receive cubesats and weather satellites with SatNOGS and TinyGS on 400 - 450 MHz. It's also a small external antenna for HAM (amateur) radio on the 420-450MHz UHF band. I use a "Antenna Mast Clamp Bracket with U-Bolts" (also available on Amazon) to attach it to 10ft of conduit pipe.

I use this with rtl-sdr to pickup weather instruments around my neighborhood. It doesn't have a lot of gain, and I think you could just make a simple dipole out of coax that would work just as well.I'm not sure how long this would last in a wet weather-exposed area over the years, and if mounting permanently for the long term I'd put some locktight on where the elements screw in, and some seal where the cable connects.The cable is sort of short, I think this is designed to be mounted on a wall near where the radio is.

I live 20 miles from town & was barely able to bring in the various town & county conversations using a BCD436HP scanner with the standard rubber duck antenna. Now I hear it all. Height matters.

Cable is small SMA. hard to get a good adapter if you need to extend it. Top antenna started rusting at the base. colored brown. I went to a telescopic antenna, heat shrank it, and the reception is far better than this antenna.

Well built, and seems to perform well. I'm using it to receive my local fire department.If you're installing it outside you should provide a ground and lightning arrester.

It seemed to take quite a long time to receive this antenna. It came enclosed in clear plastic zip loc bags. Product looks like it will do the job. However the antenna mounting pipe, which is used to mount the actual antenna to the mounting L racket is missing any spanner nuts to hold the antenna to pipe, or the pipe to the mounting bracket. I sent a message to the seller explaining this. Their reply was send us a picture of the missing parts. Duh, My reply was how can I send a picture of the missing parts when they are missing from the package. AS of yet I have received no more commutation from the seller the missing parts??? So, at this point I'll have to go to the hardware store and try to find some spanner nuts before I can even see it this antenna even works. Bet this came from China !
