These looked identical to a relatives outdoor solar lights solar panels. When I got these I replaced at least two which were so damaged that you could see the clear top coat was worn away on the old ones and barely worked (even after trying to repair them. Which it was well to late for that thus needing replacements). The new solar panels have been working pretty well, just had to do some simple soldering and a little caulk to prevent water from leaking under them and they have been working just fine for months. So far no problems and happy with my purchase.

I soldered (easily) a pair of leads onto the panel, attached my voltmeter and headed into the sun. voltage was pushing 3 volts open circuit easily. I build little solar devices for my garden, and these panels keep the batteries charged even on cloudy days for all-night operation. Excellent for DIY repairs and hobbies.

I tested all 10 solar cells and they were good. It was a perfect replacement part for my solar garden lights.

I'm working on an automatic watering system. I'll use 2 panels to keep a 18650 battery charged. I'm using a boost converter to drive the latching solenoid valve. Of course a CPU to control everything. The output power was not quite what was advertised. Full sun in California, 100mA. Still, not bad at all. Nice solder pads on the bottom to work with. Happy with the purchase.

I used these to replace 75 x 75mm cells in old vinyl fence post lights. Measured in full sun, central Florida, 3:30 PM, mid May, open circuit voltage 2.43v, closed circuit current 190ma. The 75 x 75mm cells produced a little less current and voltage, but to be fair, they were several years old. I designed and printed new housings that angle the cells at 25 degrees (best angle for my latitude) vs. the old cells which were horizontal. It will be interesting to see what condition they are in a year from now in the hot Florida sun. Edit: One year later and all the cells are still working like new. I would buy again if I needed more of these.

Repaired my solar lantern

Got these a few days ago and are as advertised, seem to be good little solar cells. Perfect for charging up 1.2V NiMh factoring in a 0.7V blocking diode, even better with a Schottky. Might buy some more.
