Solid but needs the holes repositioned
This is a solid piece of metal. Easy enough to install however there are two issues. 1)the antenna stud hole is larger than firestick 3/8 so be careful installing so you don’t ground the center lead out.2) it is angled 5-10 degrees off to the right which looks funny as hell.I have a decent shop so I was able to bore the mount holes out a bit to give some adjust to get the antenna to point straight up. And I have the knowledge to insulate the larger than normal antenna stud mount hole.If I didn’t have the tools toDo these thing I would have sent it back.Simple fixes by the manufacturer but still too some effort on my end to make it acceptable.

Will not fit as shown without modifying the spare tire mount
I almost never give 1 star ratings or poor reviews but this product deserves it. It is a solid piece of metal but simply does not fit as shown in the photo. You will need to do one of three things to use this... 1. grind down the ribs on the spare tire mount so this fits flat. 2. get longer metric bolts and lots of washers to shim it away from the mount. 3. buy a different mount. I'm not going to bother to send it back, I will be exercising option 3 and buying a different mount from a reputable antenna manufacturer.

Does not fit JK spare tire mount property.
I rarely give 1 star reviews. This mount simply does not fit. While the holes line up, it is not flush with the tire mount. Some used washers as spacers, but the antenna would not ground, giving me a 3 or higher calibration, potentially frying my radio. Beat and bend it to fit better, still would not fit properly. Antenna is too close to spare tire, constantly rubbing it. Tried moving mount on lower part of spare tire holder, but it pinched the spare tire. After multiple attempts of calibrating antenna, moving it around and bending and shaping mount, I have up. In addition, the powder coating must be filed off for those who can get it to work. Because I bent and filed it I can not return it. Fortunately I only threw away 10$.

Good solid mount
Good, easy install. I placed it in front of my tire mount to keep from pull the whole tire mount off to install. The only issue I have with it is the antenna is pressed against the spare tire causing it to be at an angle. I used washers on the tire bolts to push the spare tire out a little further but not by much. I will eventually move it to the back side of the tire mount. I feel that my antenna may break under pressure if I leave it there.

Great quality, needs some modification to make it work.
The quality and build of this mount is actually really stout. It’s heavy duty and is coated really well. However it does have some flaws. The antenna mount hole is definitely too large. And because of the outer lip on the JK/U tire carrier it does not just bolt right up. I ended up using a stainless steel washer on the bottom with the firestik fire-flex cable in order to complete the ground. Be sure to remove the powder coating on bottom of the mount hole. I also drilled a hole in the mount and used a stainless steel screw to run a wire and ground the mount to the jeeps body just inside the gate underneath the rear right plastic panel. In order to align the mount correctly I used some nylon washers between it and the tire carrier. I used the same nylon washers (2 on each of the spare tire lugs) to make sure the spare tire was far enough that it didn’t contact my antenna.

Disappointed
This is one of the very few times I'm not giving a good review. Once this mount is installed the spare tire actually pushes into the antenna and bends it back a great deal. I actually had to buy spacing washers to get the tire away from the antenna. Other people have actually reshaped the mount or cut into the tire carrier to get the mount further back toward the tailgate. This one is a poor design and I don't feel the engineers mounted it and then put the tire back in place. As we all know an antenna can't be touching other materials for it to get a good signal it needs to be free floating. This could easily be solved by drilling the hole in the mount slightly closer to the tire carrier. This space exists for this to actually take place at the factory. It should also be noted that my tire is a stock OEM size and not a larger upgraded one. I could understand if someone puts thicker tires or bigger tires on the back and the mount starts to not function as intended.

Good mount needs modifications.
Solid mount for jk. Needs modifications to make it look and function correctly. It needs washers to make your antenna straight up and down. The antenna hole needs to be further back towards the rear glass or it will hit the spare tire. The bracket is for a jeep with an aftermarket tire carrier not the stock one. It can be made to work like I did. So it needs washers and hole relocation. Then it works great. I think mopar makes a great bolt on bracket, but it cost more.

Heavily Built
Heavy built, quality part, that mounted exactly how it should.... except I couldn't use it because my aftermarket tire carrier would hit squarely on the mount. Hated to give it away.
