Everything came through Amazon in 2 days with no damage. It's made from Bamboo (a grass and not wood) and is sustainable and durable as advertised. So don't expect a hand-carved Brazilian Rosewood solid board with etched lines. That would be several thousands of dollars, not hundreds of dollars. For the price point, this is a very nice Go board. It's a solid and heavy 2 inches of bamboo with a full 19x19 board on the front and a 13x13 board on the back (which is very nice actually). The stones are very nice too. They need to be washed, dried on a towel, coated with mineral (baby) oil, and then individually polished clean when first purchased. After that, the stones are very nice to use and will last a long time. They have a nice feel. I actually like the bamboo stone containers as well. Both the board and stones came with a pretty good carrying cases as well. I posted two pictures of what I purchased and I'm very happy with it. Pictures do not include the carrying cases that came with them.

The good things:The sheer mass and beauty of this board and components justifies the price. The weight ensures that it will not be bumped and displace the stones. The yunzi stones themselves are high quality and they provide you with more than enough extras of each color to offset any chipping that occurs during shipping. The wood, both the board and stone jars, are nicely finished. The board is two sided, full size layout on one side and a smaller one for fast games on the other. This is a piece you won't mind leaving set up on a side table for display and easy play.What could be improved:The grid is only printed on the wood. I was hoping it might have been etched into the surface slightly. Also, due to the weight, the board is tough to pick up up. I made some small round legs with felt on the top and bottom to address this shortcoming. The legs serve to protect the bottom surface from whatever the board rests on, and to make it easier to pick up. As others have mentioned, this board needs a better case to transport it easily, something with a handle or should strap.Would I recommend it? Absolutely. You don't find mass-produced game boards of this quality every day. Just be prepared for the weight of it.Late edit: the bowls have a polyurethane finish to them which is a bit distracting. I took some very light steel wool (0000) to them and polished just enough to take that sheen off. The result was a soft satin finish instead of the plastic-y shine.

I am very pleased with this board, the stones, and the bowels. The board has a very nice solid feel and makes a pleasant sound when slapping on the stones. It comes with no discernable damage and looks amazing. The stones, being real yunzi stones, are just a pleasure to play with after you get them cleaned, oiled, and wiped (recommend a lint-free cloth, I figured that out...). This is my first go set and I was thinking might as well "go big or go home" since I plan on playing for a long time to come. I recommend.

You can tell this has been very well made. Its workmanship is something you don't see much anymore. Especially in something that is bought off of amazon. I don't know if the board and bowls have been hand crafted but I wouldn't be surprised.The stones are real Yunzi. I've read some people have bought cheaper sets from Amazon and were shorted stones. This one came with about 12 extra of both white and black.The bag for the bowls is good quality and they come with velcro straps to wrap around the bowls to keep them closed in the bag.The only negative is the case for the board is barely big enough and just felt with a Velcroed flap to keep it closed. I would like a little bit more padded.

Love this! The board is solid! Heavy. Big. The stones also solid The only thing keeping me from a 5 star review is that the bowls, which don't measure up. They feel like they have a plastice / polyeurethane lacquer applied on a surface that wasn't well sanded in some spots and lids don't fit perfectly (tight on one, slightly lose on other. Don't fit well interchangeably. It does come with a felt cover to help protect the board, which is also a great plus. Have spent many hours playing with coworkers / friends.

Bought it as new but came used with a considerable damage to the board, not a happy camper here. There was no damage to the box or the packing material so it just horrible quality control.
