Smells like chemicals and soil
Used to be great, now it smells like chemicals and soil. Really sad about this, for the past couple of years it's been super-yummy.

Great long grain brown rice
I usually buy a medium grain brown rice (Nishiki) but I thought I would give this a try. I so like it, and it works well insome recipes since it is not as starchy as Calrose rice.

My favorite brand.
I love this rice, but not the packaging. Needs to be packaged in a reclosable container. The brown basmati has great flavor and a nice tooth. I always soak in low salt chicken broth for 30 min in the rice cooker before starting it. Water also works fine if you like it vegan. However, I nearly gave it just 4 stars due to packaging.

Never again buy anything else!
I read that basmati rice from California, Pakistan or India has less heavy metals (arsenic) thanother types of rice, so I decided to ditch my brown, jasmine and long-grain rice and make the switch tobasmati. After reading reviews, prices and package information I bought TAJ which has 9.8 mg protein and 8% calcium per serving. Soaked it about 30 minutes, drained it and cooked one cup rice with 2 cups water. It came out PERFECTLY!! a big pan of light, fluffy, beautiful rice with a wonderful taste and texture. Move out all you other types of rice, my cupboard space has a big jar of Taj and no room for lesser stuff. Love it! No, I was not paid or given free product or anything else to write this review. I am blown away by the difference in this wonderful rice and if you are thinking of trying it, don't hesitate!
