Love this ellipsoidal zooming flashlight. Gave my original one to my 96 year old mother. She also loves it. I’m not going to knock a star off, but my second purchase, which I kept myself, has an odd defect. Rather than SOS, it taps out VMS in Morse code. My first one taps out SOS, so I am glad my mother has it. Curious. A quick wwweb search yields nothing remotely apt for VMS.

A high quality, very durable flashlight. I am very happy with this light. I particularly like the ability to go from very tight high beam to a wide beam. I previously purchased one of the smaller $13.00 lights sold on amazon by multiple vendors. It wasn't very bright and had high battery consumption. The Peak Plus LFX 2000 is a far superior product. spend the extra $4.00 and get a flashlight which will not disappoint. I have ordered three. The first I used for approximately three years and gave it as a gift to a surveyor I was working with in the Caribbean who "admired" it. The second I purchased as a gift. and the third I purchased to replace flashlight number one. After a month or so the battery tray failed. I emailed the company on a Saturday telling them of the problem, they responded on Sunday and by the end of the week I had a replacement. The fact that they were so quick to honor their warrantee is unusual these days. My only remark for improvement is if they made a version which was intrinsically safe. If they made one of these it would be the last flashlight I would ever have to own.

Nice size, good heft to the flashlight. Very bright light. First click, turns the light on or off. To get to the other modes, you have to push the button half way without clicking. Slide the head part back and forth to zoom light. Light will go from round to a square when zoomed to totally focus. There is a caution not to shine into the eyes and that these flashlights are not suitable for children. Have just gotten this flashlight, it takes 4 AA batteries, not included. Unable to predict how long these batteries will last.

This flashlight is legitimately incredible. Really smart design choices like using AA batteries compliment one of the brightest bulbs/LEDs I've ever seen. Short story, I took my kids on a nighttime walk with their grandparents to find catch woodpeckers that live in my area. My dad, has an incredible light to catch (and release) them as you blind them with the light, then sneak up with a net to catch them. This light put every other flashlight on the walk to shame. It's brighter by far, it can focus and trail a flying bird in the night at probably 100 feet. Incredible. Build quality is really solid too. Feels great in your hand. There are undoubtedly better lights out there, but you'd be HARD pressed to find better performance for your dollar.

seems great to me . I am not too worried about battery life but so far with intermitnet use no change yet.really, really bright, just what i wanted for animals in the back of the yard.
