I recently purchased a dual remote control plug to control my deck, lights and my outdoor fan. The door remote control plug stated it was weather resistant, but I thought if I purchase this box, it would ensure that the mechanism would stay dry and working for years to come. This weatherproof box is perfect for my use. I have one outdoor cord going into the box which plugs into my door, remote control outlet and then I have the two outdoor extension cords coming out of the box, connecting to my fan and my outdoor string lights. This box being made of heavy plastic does not interfere with the signal from my remote control.

This is a really nice box and the customer service was really great! The box is very sturdy and seals very well. I made the mistake of not properly measuring the dimensions of what I needed the junction box for and as a result the size of the box I bought was a smidge too small. My fault not theirs. So I opted to return the box so I could get something a little larger. Upon clicking the return option I was informed I could keep the box and still receive my refund. That was unexpected and very kind. I will be purchasing from this vendor again!

Got this for my power going out to my swimming pool pump and lights. It kept my stuff dry in the rain and water splash.

My only complaint is that the "Top Of Cord Slot" should be hinged, instead of clamps on both sides.I'm not using as intended, because I'm holding 10 gauge cords and it only advertises 12 gage cords, but it's not always easy to get both sides clamped.When they aren't clamped all the way, it sometimes doesn't close properly. This makes the large clamp on the outside not work as intended (behaving similar to the video shown in the negative review) and also leaves a noticeable gap in the side where water may get through.I have to open and close it twice a day (it's where I plug my car charger into an extension cord) and it's a bit of a pain.However, in the week or so I've been using this, despite rain and the issues closing/sealing I mentioned above, I've never noticed any signs of wetness inside the box (there have, however, been a few ants that found their way in).I do wonder if I would have these issues at all if I were using smaller gauge cords (although a hinged clamp would still be far better).All told, if you have to open it every day, it's a little annoying. But if you want to set it and forget it, then it will probably work just fine if your only goal is to protect your electrical connections from your average, every day exposure to the elements.

Like the ease of opening and closing and the large number of access points.

This box was placed under an outside overhang.The double cord I reviewed was placed inside it. A single power cord ran to it. 2 outside security cameras connected to the double cord inside.I highly recommend it!

In the past, I used to wrap up in a plastic trash bag the gang outlet connection where like 4 cords plugged in from various Christmas yard decorations, then go over the plastic bag with electrical tape so it would be protected from the rain. Of course, if something went wrong with a cord or a decoration, I'd have to unwrap all the electrical tape, open the bag and locate the problem....ugh. Then re-wrap everything again. Enter in these nifty Denwils boxes. I set the gang plug inside the box, ran each cord into the box through the little cord notch cut outs in the back and plugged each cord into the gang outlet. Then the main extension cord to my garage outlet ran out of the box out another little cord notch hole on the side of the box. Organized, clean, easy.... then the box snaps closed with two latches on each side. It rained a bunch this December but everything stayed bone dry inside the box. I bought 3 black ones and spray painted one of them brown to blend in my bark bed, and I bought two green ones for the grass decor. They blended right in despite their decent size. If I could make one recommendation though, how about putting the name DENWILS in huge white letters on a removeable sticker on top of the box so we can remove that if we'd like. That was kind of ugly. I just covered the letters up with black or green electrical tape.

Overall very good, but just know the plastic box is a bit fragile. I dropped it by accident (about 2 feet to the cement) and it cracked the corner. The weatherproofing was compromised and I had to fix with duct tape - hopefully this works to keep out the moisture.

It’s a very sturdy well sealed unit.

It was a mistake on my part to purchase the item without checking the dimensions first. I assumed that the product description was accurate, but I realized later that it did not match the actual size of the item. I regret not being more careful and diligent in verifying the information before making the decision.

The box holds several govee power boxes just fine. The box is partially sheltered from heavy environment impact, no water problems. Would like it to be a few inches smaller. Still, a 5 star. For me.

Excelente para resguardar los contactos de corriente en exterior para que no les caiga agua. Tambien puedes colocar dentro algun tipo de caja de control o dispositivos que deban ser guardados del agua y la intemperie.Muy facil de usar, muy robusto y hermético. La suciedad y el agua se quedan afuera.
