Legendary Muscle Cars: Jay Leno - Certified Car Nut

I bought this video because I admire those who restore and collect great machinery of the past and because Jay Leno is funnier in an impromtu setting than he is on TV.This DVD lasts 100 minutes and spotlights Jay Leno's collection of classic cars, motorcycles and machinery. Mr. Leno has a very large but eclectic collection - everything from turn of the century (that is, the turn of the 19th/20th centuries) steam engines to Duesenbergs to steam-powered cars to retro-rod Buicks.Watching Jay and Dennis Gage trying to get a Stanley Steamer up to pressure is a real hoot. Jay quips "It's the only car in the world where you can get scalded and burned at the same time!" But, you also get to see how efficient it was once you got the steam up to pressure compared to early gasoline-powered cars.I think this DVD shows the viewer the often tortuous path leading to what we call the "car" with the many important, as well as dead-end, technologies. The viewer gets a sense of early autos that were, quite literally, works of rolling art made by craftsmen and artists in every sense of the word.Jay Leno and Dennis Gage play off each other quite well and it's an enjoyable video for the car enthusiast over all. I give this five-stars.

My husband and I both like to go to car shows. We really enjoy the old cars; they're so interesting, unique and fascinating. Jay has a vast knowledge of all of his automobiles and presents them well. He goes into details about each one. It's really a great DVD and lots of fun to watch. He even takes some of the cars out of his garage and drives them around for a while. It's quite a sight to see them on the highway. I think people will really be surprised when they watch it.

Anyone who likes classic cars will enjoy this romp through Leno`s car collection. You will see some very rare items and a few that are one of a kind. The steam cars are a real treat to see. Working ones are few and far between these days.

This is a great Jay Leno car video... if you love Jay Leno and his cars, it's a wonderful representation of what he has in his shop and how it's maintained. Very interesting for the CAR ENTHUSIAST! Glad I bought it!

Ok - someone has to be stinking rich, and it's cool that Jay collects these amazing cars, but it's kind of show and tell of the rich and famous.My dad enjoyed the DVD, because it showed him some fantastic cars and vehicles from the past.

I bought this for my "car guy" and he really liked the amount of detail given about each vehicle. Jay's emotional attachment to his treasures and their memories was evident throughout!

DVD is skipping, not happy at all. Too much trouble to return it, but NOT HAPPY. Content not too bad...

Fun to watch.
