Does it work on chrome surfaces? I have a company name that slightly etched in chrome and want to cover it up with this pen, will that work?

Yes. So long as the application surface is smooth it should work

Do these markers have an odor?

I do not remember an odor and I am sensitive to strong odors from paints and markers.

Can you apply 2 coats of this liquid chrome if 1 coat did not cover properly?

Yes you can apply 2 coats, try to let the 1st dry well like 6 or more hours, and be a little careful to not overwork the piece because it may get soft. I usually apply the liquid chrome a little heavy since when it dries its height reduces. I like to make a little puddle on a piece of wax paper, or other non-permeable paper, and use it to dip from since the pen dispenses better that way.

I know it says permanent, but will anything you've tried take it off a solid surface?

Yes, just about anything will take this finish off. Even your finger. This paint looks great when applied, but anything touching it within two weeks of curing will ruin the finish. Simple alcohol or thinner will take this off easily.
