These are bigger than expected but great set of tools

The tools are good. This is my first time buying tools on the more expensive side (other than the tools in the starting packs etc). Makes it easy to work with your trees and the pouch is good to keeps your tools in one place

I feel compelled to let potential buyers know about these tools. Yes they are cheap but you really do only get what you pay for. They are a very low grade of stainless, so you will still have to clean them after every use and they will blunten like high carbon steel. They are poorly manufactured, I have had to take off loads of rough edges and tighten up all of the hinges as they were sloppy. However the worst bar far is the quality of the grind and sharpness. I have had to virtually completely reprofile the grinds and resharpen and polish the finish ( please see the before and after photos I have taken on the diagonal cutters) Using them on a bonsai without sharpening will cause undesirable damage to your tree. Blunt blades cause cell damage and increase the chance of problems. Luckily I have been at it for over 30 years and have the knowhow and tools to be able to make these ok. I wanted stainless so that I could just leave them on the bench without having to clean them but I can tell that they will corrode quickly. Unfortunately I gave away my old carbon steel set to someone who is just starting up. So I don't have a choice but to spend hours and hours getting these as good as I can.I have messaged the seller telling them about my concerns but got nowhere. Even more irritating they told me to ”have a nice life"So I would recommend that you spend a bit more and buy some quality carbon steel ones as they will definitely be a lot better than these
