With that being said, running around up stairs (my projector is mounted on the floor joist in the basement) does not move the joint, but plugging in cables may. This is easy to get around by just plugging in all the connections you may want at time of installation. Review: Good quality of mount, but adjusting and installed stability is an issue. - I gave this mount a 3 star review for two reasons: 1) When you are trying to set the projector to fit your screen (up/down, left/right, and rotation) it can be very time consuming as you can't adjust the left/right with impacting the up/down and rotation at the same time since it is just a ball and socket connection to the mount. Also, once you get it perfect and go to tighten the collar nut, it can cause the projector to rotate again as the collar tightens directly onto the ball. 2) Since you can't crank down on the collar nut to tighten, if you are one that wants to be able to use different connections to the projector occasionally (HDMI normal but occasional hook up a second hdmi, or rca or pc), the force required to insert the plug can cause the projector to move out of its alignment and you are back to adjusting the projection again. The mount is very well built, came with all equipment needed for the install, and fit perfectly onto the projector. If 1 and 2 don't scare you away, the quality of the mount is good.

Fit perfectly. Held it's position. Can't really ask ...
Fit perfectly. Held it's position. Can't really ask for anything more. Search around on Amazon. I found a few different prices for the same piece of hardware.
