I thought it would be a strait forward install like most. But I am a neophyte when it ...
I've owned many K&N filters for lots of my cars, however, it wasn't until I ordered this one for me X5 V8 Twin Turbo. I thought it would be a strait forward install like most. But I am a neophyte when it comes to turbos and when I look at the engine, it is not obvious how I get into the filter area. The Filter came with NOTHING... no instructions... no links to instal videos... NOTHING, just the two filters. Now I could fiddle about and eventually figure it out... but knowing me, I'm not real confident I won't break something in the process. So, like a dumb fool I will probably take it into the dealer and spend more money because they know how to do this mysterious task. Go ahead and laugh... but I think K&N needs to do a much better job helping customers like myself at least feel confident enough to do this simple task. I've been to their web site... NOTHING, I've been to Youtube... NOTHING about the twin turbo filter installation... Come on K&N... do your job...

Better than stock filters
An improvement in airflow over stock filters, I'd highly recommend using these on a tuned X5M to get the most from it.

Fantastic upgrade!!
