Electro-Harmonix 720 Stereo Looper Pedal

Best looper in the under $150 range! If you're reading this review, you've probably done a lot of research like me. There is nothing else out there for this price with a second button for stop and memory banks!I had a TC Electronics Ditto Looper, and it sounded great. But the double tap to stop is a pain when playing live. No biggie in your bedroom, but sucks when in front of people. Also, erasing loops on the Ditto wasn't silent. You would hear a second of the loop just before it erased. Again, ok in your living room, but not cool live on stage.Enter the Electro Harmonix 720. You can stop with a single click. You can silently erase. You can also program the time of the stop fade out! I use one second. It doesn't sound like a big deal til you hear it. So much nicer than an abrupt stop.And you get 10 memory banks, reverse and half speed! For only $50 more than the Ditto, it's a no brainer.Also of note: sound quality is great. Loops are crystal clear, and switches are silent and seamless.I love this looper!

I don't play with other musicians. This pedal is just what you need when you have an idea to lay down. I can layer songs ie loop rhythm guitar and bass guitar then playback with a live lead. It's pricey, but it's totally worth it to me because it meets and exceeds my requirements. It's like having a room full of Moogs. Who's playing rhythm? Moog. Who's playing bass? Moog. Who's playing lead guitar? You guessed it. Thank you Electro-harmonix!!!

So much fun. Easy to get a handle of and the reverse/half speed buttons are fun, although I personally haven't found much utility for them I'm sure other more creative people do. I love that it has two inputs and outputs, I am able to play my bass through one amp and loop that and then play guitar through a second amp, really makes it fun to just mess around with the guitar again.

Robust and useful. Some features available in more advanced units might be desired, making the longer memory time of this one the most outstanding attribute. I use it to create song length tracks to solo over. It can easily record several verses, chorus and bridge, if this is what you want to use it for. I would probably go for the next in the product line that allows me to delete discreet overdubs, as with the 720 all over dubs but the most recent get merged. Also it would be nice to have the 1/2 time feature also provide double time, or adjustable speed up/down. But again, that is offered in more advanced models. Satisfied with all other features, cannot comment on road-worthiness as it dwells safely in my practice space.

I got quite a surprise when I tried to insert a battery. There is wiring for a 9v but there is no room. I emailed EHX and they asked for the serial number and the name of the seller, which was Cellar_Door_Books so I gave them the information they requesed. When they didn't respond I sent another email but they never replied. I don't know if this was a one time manufacturing error or if all of these units have the problem. The pedal worked great with the included power supply.

I ordered this product because I wanted to step my guitar playing level up a notch, and this is helping me do just that! I love the fact that I can loop over recordings and make a beautiful instrumental. I have used this a couple times today and I am seeming to get the hang of it, the instructions state pretty clearly on how to use the functions. You control the looper simply by tapping a button on the bottom which sets it to record another loop, it doesn't get much easier than that. I cant wait to go and figure out what other cool things this looper can do!

Got this for my BF for Christmas.It comes with the power chord but make sure you buy a chord to connect your guitar to the pedal.Works really well and has some sick settings.If youre looking for a straight up loop pedal with great storage and ability to undo loops mid recording, buy this.

This thing is awesome! A great investment... I think it's actually underpriced for what it does. Comes with a power supply and using it causes zero noise. Perfect for acousitc solo gigs (the only kind I ever play) when you want to play a lead or two. Layering loops is not only possible but ridiculously easy and fun.

A useful bit of kit for writing and practising. It's well made - the instructions made moderate sense and it seems to be reliable. It's actually quite easy to use once you get the hang of it. It could do with a click and possibly even a count in when you're doing lots of layers but I'm being a bit picky. The only 'problem' is it seems to vary the play back volume on a previously recorded loop from one session to another - which is a little annoying so not the full 5 stars.

Pleased with the delivery and item itself but why does the the 9 volt s power supply come with a usa two pin plug whe being sold in the uk.i have had to buy a power supply with uk plug on at extra expense.
