Weber Q1000 Liquid Propane Grill, Chrome

It’s a Weber, you can’t do any better. We’ve owned Webers for over 40 years. they last the longest, period. We purchased our first Q series grill in early 2000s and it lasted over 10 years. This Q1000 was purchased in 2019. It’s been used a lot including in the dead of cold and snowy Vermont Winters. It’s not failed on us at all. I clean it routinely including degreasing and wire brushing where needed and it fires up using the built in ignition every time. It doesn’t look as pretty was it did years back, but, it works every time and being no rust materials everywhere on this, it still holds up to the elements. It’s just my wife and I here and it is located in a tight space on our deck just beyond a patio door so its small and compact profile has worked out superbly for saving space on our deck where we enter our house. Yes, it takes a bit longer to heat up since it is a smaller grill, but, I would not trade this for any other brand nor a larger and higher BTU grill. This grill does the job to char and sear perfectly and it uses less propane then the big ones! If you are considering a new grill and most importantly, want to conserve space where it’ll be used, please consider the Q series made by Weber. If you have the room, consider a larger Weber. But, get a Weber, not a grill that will be rusting in a few years!

We downsized to an apartment that has a small porch, and still wanted to be able to grill. This has worked out great. Big enough to grill a lot for two or a single meal for 4. Small enough that it fits on a small end table, and easily stores underneath it or in the kitchen pantry. We use the little camping propane canisters to keep things really small. We don't travel with it, but it would be fantastic as a tailgating grill. It is very light, most of the weight is well spent in the grill racks. I really like the porcelain coated cast iron. On our old charcoal grill (which we miss but do not have room to safely use) we loved the cast iron racks, and I was unsure about what the porcelain coating would be like. Definitely lower maintenance. I like it. This is my first gas grill in a long time, I am more used to charcoal. It does not get super hot, but hot enough. I don't think it would work for some of the open-lid high temp searing that I could do with the charcoal grill, but if I keep the lid closed it works for everything I have asked of it. It can take about 10 minutes to get up to temp. Q1000 vs Q1200 We were looking at the Q1000 and Q1200 models, and decided the Q1000 was a better bet for us. The three main differences that I could see were the fold out shelves, slight extra lid height, and thermometer on the Q1200 for $30 extra. I saw the Q1200 in a store and thought the shelves were so flimsy as to just be in the way. I would probably just take them off. The extra height seemed unnecessary, and if anything I thought would waste heat. And the thermometer..... well I really don't know what to think of thermometers that come on cheap grills. So we saved the $30 getting the Q1000, and then for $16 I bought the "Bayou Classic Grill Thermometer" https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003VEG5SS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Bigger, much easier to read, and well reviewed. Plus, I was able to mount it down low closer to the grill surface. With a cordless drill it took 10 minutes to install. Drill a hole bolt it on... that simple. Testing it in boiling water is was within 2 degrees of accurate.

great table top grill, easily cooks steak for four or five or five or six burgers at a time. heavy duty, two part steel grill, easy cleaning and clever drain design. Great value for $$$. Had these for years and never wanted any other one. Plenty of adjustable heat even in pretty cold weather.

After reading many reviews I decided on the Weber Q1000. I wanted portability so I could take it in our RV, we are using it as our home BBQ normally. For 2 people it is just the right size, as long as you pre-warm it for 15 minutes you good good even heat on the entire grill. I find it has enough heat for everything we have cooked while not too much that can cause flame problems. The grill is coated cast iron I am using oil to get it "seasoned" like cast iron pans. You get perfect sear marks without hot spots, and the compact size assures good high cooking temperatures under the domed lid. Did I say I love this new BBQ? Cleaning is another pet peeve, and this Weber could not be easier to keep clean between meals. So far I have cooked Spatchcock Chicken (Wow), kabobs, steaks and burgers, it all cooks perfectly.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I had a larger version of this product when there were two people in the household, it was great. When I downsized to just myself, I gave it away. Been looking for a replacement for a couple of months now. Saw that this was a good price. Looked at other dealers and because of prime free shipping was able to save money and still get it within a couple of days. Gave it 4 stars because it never mentioned that you needed to by the regulator and supply line if you were using a gas grill tank. It was mentioned that it was liquid propane and that a tank was needed. However, it never mentioned that if you were using a regular grill tank, you would need to purchase a supply line with a regulator separately. If this had been mentioned, then I would have purchased said item at the same time. I was very lucky (because it was the third of July and around 5.30 when most stores are closed) to be able to purchase a supply line with a regulator. After getting that item set up was very easy. Cooked out on the 3rd and 4th. Cooked a pound of bacon for the week. Also cooked Chicken and shrimp. Love it. This is a great small grill for multiple items or just one meal. Will be using it all year round. Summertime I can use it without heating up my kitchen and it the winter I can have barbecue whenever. I am looking forward to making smores any time of the year.

I am so pleased with this Weber Q1000 Liquid Propane Grill. It was easy to put together and is very simple to use . It is great to be able to cook outside during the warm weather. The only change that I would recommend - buy the one with the temperature gauge on the lid. It is not a huge deal but it would be nice to know what the temperature is when heating up the grill. The Grilling Guide that was included lists different kinds of meat, fowl, fish, etc., - the cooking time and heat temperature - such as beef patty, 3/4" thick, 8-10 minutes on medium heat. It also shows how to use the grill and keep it clean. I give this grill 5 stars!! Thanks Weber!!

Love it! Just right size for two people!

We live in a townhome and we didn't have room for a full sized BBQ on our balcony. This thing is perfect. We thought we were getting it just for the balcony, but instead we take it with us everywhere. Tailgating, camping, etc. We love this thing and it's so easy to use. I can't say enough good about it. It cooks evenly, yet also sears our meat with a great crust. If you are looking for a BBQ, just get this one. Don't get a full size one (unless it's a Traeger- then definitely choose that!), because there is no point when this one does the same thing but is way more versatile and portable. We use it more than I ever thought we would. BIG fan!

I’m really impressed with this barbecue! It heats up quickly, cooks evenly, and is very easy to use and clean. The build quality is solid and it feels durable. Perfect for family cookouts or weekend grilling. Highly recommend it!

Solid, well-made, easy to set up and un-failable ignition button, it was worth every cent. Even heat and heat levels. Great for small spaces and will travel with it as my trusty camping cookout companion :-)

No longer need the monster BBQ's I've used for years. Love this unit. Electric (Piezo) start is instant. Great for camping, boating and has now become my go to for home too. I bought an adapter to hook up to a larger propane tank but was pleasantly surprised at how many 'cooks' I got out of a standard propane canister. Seems really well made and for me, opting for the less expensive version without a temperature gauge made sense since I'm a full power only type of outdoor cook ;)

looks pretty and works well. it does not come with thermometer but it is still doable. It would be suitable for two-three people and great camping/picnic grill.

The grills are phenomenal. simple soak and wipe!
