Good basic shaver - Still works after 2 years
I have used electric shavers for many years. I looked for a reasonably priced, competent shaver. This is one.It shaves and trims well. It holds a charge long enough to be useful. It runs fine when plugged in, the plug is even small and light. I have only used it a few months so can't comment on long term battery or other durability. It is easily cleaned, allowing use of water. It light weight with nice balance and feel when in use. Simple to use, there are no cutting height or other adjustments but, because it is a basic shaver, others may be do some jobs better such as: extremely long/tough beards; special skin; or shaving exceptionally close. I don't need any of these so it is no problem. It is not fancy or loaded with 'stuff'. It just does its job. All in all a good value.Update 9/2012: I still use, and rinse, this shaver daily. The battery has held up well...recharge required maybe every 2 weeks or so, and again, it works when just plugged in. I will probably buy another like it when I need to.

Great price, great product
I have used electric shavers for many years, mostly Norelco triple headers, and always the least expensive available (sometimes refurbished), and have always been satisfied. They shave well and last for a reasonably long time, and when the shaving heads/blades get dull, I just get another one because the replacements cost as much as I paid for the razor. A couple of years ago I tried a refurb Remington non-triple header because of the price, and within a few weeks the metal? coating started to come off the head and scrape me during the shave. Thinking that all triple headers were pretty much alike, I got a new, more expensive Remington triple header at a department store, but it has a very flawed design. The heads kept falling out, and were hard to get back in, and it was kind of hard to clean. Finally one of them wouldn't stay in at all, so I used it with two heads for a while, and then another one fell out while using it away from home, and I never found it. Even with all three heads working, it just didn't shave very close.Hoping that they weren't really all alike, I ordered this Norelco from Amazon. I found it by clicking the "used" link, but it arrived sealed in original packaging, with just a little dent in the outer box. After using it for a couple of weeks now, I am completely happy with it. It is a totally different, solid design, and is also much easier to clean. It is fairly quiet, and shaves quickly and well. I've never used an expensive shaver, for comparison, but if this one lasts like my previous Norelcos did, I can't imagine ever paying more, or ever, ever going back to Remington.

Excellent shaver for the money
I have used several Norelco shavers in the past and have always been impressed by their coverage, speed, comfort, ease of use and maintenance. I have used both rotary and foil shavers and I have discovered that rotary usually does a better job overal to help me maintain my profile.I'm a clean-cut guy who does not have a lot of facial hair to begin with so I don't need an heavy duty shaver to suit my needs. I own the Braun M90 (for traveling) and the Norelco 7310XL - both "budget" shavers at similar price range (under $50). This is my 3rd Norelco that I have owned and the cheapest one I have ever used. Overall, I am very happy with its performance and if I had a choice, I would always use the Norelco 7310XL over Braun M90. I only use the Braun M90 as a backup if I ever run out of battery on the Norelco and its flat profile makes it one of the best travel shavers. However, the Norelco 7310XL definitely provides better coverage, closer, faster shave and is more comfortable to use.My first impression of Norelco 7310XL is that it is much lighter than the more expensive Norelco's that I have owned. I believe the main difference is in the motor inside as other shaving-specific mechanism are very similar to the higher end models. The motor on this one is definitely weaker. More motor power provides a faster and more comfortable shaving experience. However, if you're like me who shave once or twice daily, the 7310XL should be quite suitable as you're not doing heavy duty shaving on a daily basis. I also like the fact that you can clean the inside with water. The battery life is superb. Obviously it depends on how much hair you have but for me, one full charge which takes about 8 hours to charge should last you about one month. From my personal experience, the battery actually lasts longer than the more expensive Norelco's probably because it has a smaller motor. There's no battery level indicator but it shouldn't be a problem for most people - when the battery is dead, just plug it into the wall and continue. Overall, you will get a lot of mileage out of the Norelco 7310XL for light to moderate daily grooming. Moreover, even if it happens to die after some time, you won't feel sorry for your wallet or anger towards the manufacturer. If you're looking at dollar per shave, then you'll probably find this to be one of the best deals around. Highly recommended.

Like it!
I ordered this as a cheap option to try electric shaving after years of wet shaving due to poor previous electric results. This shaver has converted me to electric shaving.I use it with face oil & the smoothness of the shave is unbelieveable. It seems sturdy enough, at this price, you can't go wrong.
