Turned these into cooling packs with a salt phase change material. Very handy sizes for pocket packs to seat back packs. Just have to make sure the salt doesn't get on the seal

Used three of these during a recent backpacking trip. One for 3 days worth of food, one for electronics, and another for trash. Worked great to keep smells in, water out, and critters out. These work amazingly for their intended purposes.-ONE SIDE NOTE- If using this for trash, be careful with DEET bug wipes. I used a wipe or two and threw them in the bag and it seems to have chemically melted the plastic.

Some fiddling to seal and unsealed the bags, but theybwork.

large enough to fit a pair of shoes, velcro is strong, the seal is good!

We used these on a very wet backpacking trip and they certainly did their job of keeping our maps dry. Despite that, I wouldn't buy them again for two reasons. First, the string isn't actually attached to the bag, it's a loop that you have to fold into the velcro. That's fine, but a bit less convenient than other designs I've seen. The more critical problem is that I left the map in the case for a little less than 3 weeks and already the printing has stuck to the inside of the plastic. I might understand if I'd left them in for a year, but this was less than 3 weeks and already they're permanently marked up from this one trip. Hopefully alcohol swabs will work to get that off, otherwise it won't be many trips before these become too marked up to be usable.

Great for keeping boating documents dry.
