Holds cabinets tight!

Needed a few tools for install. Predrilled holes for screws. Keeps cabinet drawer shut. Works like a dream.

These were very difficult to install. It was like the screws just weren’t strong/pointed enough to go in the wood of the cabinet. The screws are basically junk. The magnet on the latch piece is very strong and I liked the item, just be prepared to use different screws. They kept stripping and would only go half way into the cabinet. We would have to break off the top part to get the piece out. I would suggest getting different ones entirely.

These cabinet magents are strong. Perhaps a bit too strong? I found I needed to add tape/stickers to my cabinet doors to allow them to open more easily. That said, they couldn't be easier to install, and work great.

The product works, and it's easy to install. However, I wish the magnets were stronger. The cabinet doors tend to pop open with these since they're not quite strong enough to do the job.

So it's funny as to why we got these. We have a cat that if she wanted treats, and we weren't giving her said treats, she would go to the cupboard door, pull it back a couple of inches, and let it go so it could bang loudly. When we'd try to block off one cupboard, she'd go to another. So we got these magnets. I went through all the cupboards she could reach and installed them, which went pretty quickly since I have a drill with a screw bit. Now she no longer bangs the cupboard at 3 am demanding treats, I'm sure she'll find other ways to demand treats soon. I will say I was surprised at how strongly these work. There are times it takes me a second or two to open the cupboard because it's such a good magnetic latch.

I like that the magnets are very strong and the stainless steel construction means it will never fail over time. Great for shutters at home, which is what I used them for.

These things are vastly superior to the plastic magnetic catches you find in big box stores. They are so solidly made, there's no real comparison to be made. You can't break off the ends by over tightening the screws. The magnetics have be twice as powerful as their poor cousins, and they look great.The double sided 3M tape they provide to make a solid alignment between the magnetic catches and the steel plate left me wondering why no one thought of it before. Removing the red non-stick cover on the tape was an exercise in frustration at the start. The best way to complete this task in my opinion is to remove the tape from the glossy cardboard and stick it to the wrong side of the steel plate before you try to remove the red protectant. Otherwise the oils from your hands will render the exposed glue useless.All things considered, it wasn't enough of a hassle to deduct a star. I've already ordered more for another project.
