Expectations from Makaibari is too high in our mind. The springtime bloom First flush Tea by Makaibari Tea Treasure, delivered in an elegant package, tastes nice, but little short on the aroma. Hope, the future packs match our expectation. Overall good.

Good flavour and aroma

Bought Makaibari Tea Treasures Springtime Bloom 100 Gm Loose Leaf First Flush Black Tea at ₹620 and found a bit too costly for the quality of that tea. It is a mixture of little black leaves with a lot of brownish and greenish leaves with a odour of crushed bamboo leaves. After getting peculiar smell I was not sure about the taste, so used less than recommended amount. Anyway after preparation took a sip of the decoction (after soaking for 4 minutes) of 3 tsp in 450ml water around 95°C was quite bitter. So the quality of this perticular varity is worst and the hard earn money was a complete waste. I am not going to buy this any more. I think it's not at all a Makaibari product.

One of the best teas I have had .. amazing that the first flush Darjeeling tea is so wonderful. I love it ! Less caffeine than normal teas .. very mild flavor .. just right ..

This Darjeeling is surprisingly good. It will be a Darjeeling I will reorder again and again. My favorite tea is Darjeeling.The flavor clarity and delicious undertones of this tea are excellent.

Makaibari Teas are world renowned for their quality and taste. For tea lovers, this is as good as it gets.

Flavor of brewed tea not as good as I expected.

I have been drinking Darjeeling tea since I was a teenager, because where I come from it is a regular thing there, so I think I know when it is the exact first flush flavour and when it is not ! Pros : Color - I guess that’s about the only good thing except for the Strength, which is up to the mark as well ! It does have the golden brown color after brewing, that a cup of authentic Darjeeling Tea should possess ! Cons : Quite a few 😕 Taste : not at all what was expected ! I have tasted Darjeeling tea from the brand Vadham, and while they don’t market it to be ‘Original Makaibari’, their tea tastes much better than this one. I don’t taste any of the notes that are mentioned in the product (neither citrus, nor floral). It tends to turn bitter very quickly, even when you have dipped it for just 20-30 seconds. Smell : Another disappointment! Darjeeling tea is known for its smell ! Atleast that’s the kind of tea I have grown up drinking ! You should be aware of its aroma from at least a 100 ft distance. This is nothing like that ! All it has is a faint scent, which you can find in any good CTC processed tea if you brew it well ! Disappointing! Neutral : Freshness : I guess you can feel a bit energised after drinking this, but honestly the lack of aroma and average taste of this tea, disappoints me so much so that this is an irrelevant point ! Overall wouldn’t recommend this, if you’re looking for a good Darjeeling tea then there are other better brands out there!

I was so excited that I am going to relish the aroma and the taste of first flush. It felt like I was drinking just hot water. So disappointed!
