Classid illustrated Time Machine paperback.
I really enjoyed reading over this classic.....I still have my old original copy when I was a teen, but in this new format the pages really come to life....didn't see the hardback version before I ordered this paperback but maybe I still will order the hardback for my collection.

A Wonderful Find of an Old Favorite
It's wonderful to see these old Classics Illustrated comics available again. I had a huge collection of them back in the 1950's and early 1960's. They disappeared somewhere in one of my parents moves while I was in the Navy, so I'm loving getting them back and am slowly rebuilding my list of favorites. The Time Machine was my all-time favorite of the Classics Illustrated and this is a faithful reproduction of the original. The fact that they are on glossy paper rather than the old newsprint makes Lou Cameron's great artwork even more vivid. I have read the original Wells novel many times over the years, but I think I like the Classics version the best. They made some changes to the plot (mainly the unfortunate demise of Weena) to make to make it more palatable for younger readers. It has been very nice to read and re-read this great Classics version again after many years.

Childhood memory found
I had this in a comic book form when I was a kid living in Texas in the 60s. I loved the movie and loved that comic book. Over the years it was lost sadly. When I found it here in a re-produced form I had to have it. I was a little worried it was going to be a cheap imitation bringing me disappointment. I couldn't have been happier. It's actually made with better quality than just a comic book. I am so delighted I just ordered three other "Illustrated Classics" for my six year old grandson who is just starting to read. An excellent buy, don't hesitate.

Great introduction to the classics.
I remember these from 50 years ago. (yikes!) Now that my grandchildren have started reading, I was really excited to see that the Classics Illustrated is in print again. I will be purchasing a lot of these. This is a great introduction to classic literature. I know that for me these books are not shortcuts. They introduced me to amazing stories that I would eventually, as my reading skills progressed, go on to read the full length versions.

A wonderful thing
These classics illustrated are a wonderful thing to introduce better reading skills to our young. Appreciate the fact that they can be bought here. Delivery was prompt, and the product without tarnish. Can recommend.

great to read it again, but
I seem to remember the graphics being much better back in the day, this seems to be a poor quality copy of the original art work, looks very crude

Wonderfully llustrated...
The Time Machine has always been open to one's imagination. Why? Because Wells did not give any details on what the machine really looked like. So whenever it was turned into a comic, TV show, or movie, the crew or artist or author would decide on their own what it would look like or act like.So while the comic book pretty much follows the story it takes it own view, its own ideas about what the machine, the landscape, the Eloi, and the Morlocks. Always a joy when I find another vision or point of view when it comes to his great work.
