TRUPER PU-3-1/2M 3 1/2 lb Pulaski Axe, 35" Hickory Handle

I use this axe for chopping tree roots that have come out of the ground high enough that the mower blades contact them.

Ok have a fenceline with decade old volunteer trees, mostly overgrown privot and the only way to prevent them from suckering back is to tear out the root ball. The pulaski takes that job from hours to minutes vs a shovel and mattock.As far as build goes this isn't fancy. The blade and handle are mostly unfinished. No polish to the blade and the handle is dry wood. Bit the blade is for grubbing in the dirt and rocks so you don't need or want a highly honeable edge, and the handle easily accepted a treatment of boiled linseed oil (blo) to help shed dirt. I probably wouldn't try to use one on a fire crew, but it's a very serviceable tool. Would be nice to get an economical nylon blade cover to go with it.

Functional

Excellent axe head. Hickory wood handle sloppily mounted at the neck. I will sand out the clunky mount-work. Still, a sturdy tool.

Shaft snapped after 10 hours of use. Head dulled very quickly. Going to look for a higher quality tool that will complete more than half a job.

Great quality

Metal is on the soft side and doesn't hold an edge well, so it's fine for occasional use when camping (wood chopping/latrine trenching) but not something I'd want to use in a professional capacity.Make sure to keep a file in your kit for sharpening this thing, it'll need it.

The media could not be loaded. Just got mine in today. Opened it and was questioning what on earth I got shipped. To be fair it does look like the same axe head. But it looks very used. Someone definitely spray painted the head. It also looks rehandled. It has a very marred up handle that doesn't have the original branding on it whatsoever. Pretty dissatisfied. I don't know why I paid full price for this.

needed this axe to fulfill an order for a firefighter… and this is what shows up. Really UNACCEPTABLE to be sent a used piece of garbage for 100$. DIDNT EVEN COME WITH BLADE GAURDS.

En base al costo del producto la calidad es buena, tenia dudas de si soportaría el uso rudo y hasta el momento no a fallado ni perdido filo.

Es muy buena,por un lado hacha y por el otro talacho muy practica y funcional,de buen peso y mango de Nogal.Es de muy buena calidad.Amazon la envio a tiempo y bien empacada.
