Works great. So much better than mesh tape for drywall repairs. Use gloves because of the fibers. Would still always use paper tape for corners.

I'm never going back to paper. I've been taping for over 40 years and this tape is a game changer. Stronger than paper, but thinner. Because the joint compound squeezes through the tape, you can get the tape super flat to the drywall and no chance of air bubbles. Also, if you happen to hit the tape lightly when sanding, no problem, it doesn't show through the primer, because the tape is saturated with joint compound. This particular tape is the regular tape, suitable for butt joints and compression edge, but don't use this for corners, your knife will tear it. Fibafuse makes a different tape for corners, it has thicker blue plastic cross strands. That is also excellent and now I use that instead of paper on the inside corners. Both tapes are suitable for your bazooka if you're using that. The only downsides are, you can't hold the tape in your mouth, the glass is abrasive. This tape you can tear with your taping knife, or bazooka, but the blue tape for corners you'll need to use scissors or a utility knife.

This worked extremely well for repairing cracks in plaster walls. Unlike regular fiberglass tape or paper tape, this mesh of cut fibers provides a thinner cover that requires less compound and sands better. One caveat, wear gloves when handling or your hands will be punctured by the extremely thin fibers. Also, wear a mask just to be extra safe. I also purchased and used the wider version of this product for bigger patches and it worked fabulously.You could also use this with plastic resin or epoxy for repairing fiberglass or other applications. Not as thick as regular fiberglass mat, but just double up if necessary.

Saves me a lot of time and frustration. Just be sure to handle with gloves.

Great stuff, but it will leave tiny fibers in your hands...ouch!

I had a home renovation project to do and found this fibafuse easier to use than paper tape. The mud will "seep" through it, making it stick better with less fuss. It was easy to scrape the extra mud out and get a nice smoot seam. Can't use it in corners, but I knew that ahead of time. Also, you may want to wear gloves when using it, since the fiberglass can be irritating to skin.

Used this to patch a settlement crack and it’s held up pretty nicely. Definitely holds up much better than your usual paper tape. Looks like I’ll keep using this stuff for patching cracks as it does feel durable. Just make sure to wash your hands right away or wear gloves when working with this material. Made my hands a bit itchy, but wasn’t a big deal.
