Namibia Map (National Geographic Adventure Map, 3209)

Excellent map: water proof, folded up well after many uses; had all the major road routes and even historical and tourist sites. I would order from them again.

This map saved us. It was the most important resource we brought to Namibia for driving around and exploring the out of the way areas. There were definitely a couple roads that were marked on here as being minor local roads that were actually paved when we got to them, which was a surprise, but it was otherwise very accurate and detailed.

Saved us from our GPS... Just enough detail and more accurate than the GPS maps that took us on a 2 hour off-road detour.

Good for big picture travel but needs a better map of Windhoek

National Geographic should be ashamed for producing something like this. The map was absolutely horrible. It appeared they were more interested in designating areas of Namibia with wide dark lines than the highways. It is not an easy map to follow and as you can tell from my name, I work for the DOT - Dept. of Transportation. The quality of the map was excellent though. We read in a guide book to bring a roll of toilet paper - we have ours now as we'll use the map.

Disappointing lack of detail, no indication of scale of this map on sale site, bought for a road trip around Namibia but no detail of smaller roads, was expecting more from a National Geographic map. On the plus side, the map feels as though it should be durable with its water resistant finish.

Bought for Nieces travels. Very pleased
