Cook N Home 14-Piece Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl Set, 4set/case

Good quality stainless steel bowls (5-quart, 3 quart and 1.5 quart) with plastic lids that fit snugly inside the bowl (although sometimes it's necessary to push down on the center of the lid to achieve that. Similar in design and quality to some Cuisinart s.s. bowls I bought on Amazon a couple years back, although not as heavy. Also comes with four very small s.s. (pinch) bowls which have lids that fit over the bowl (also a snug fit), which can come in handy for storing spices, a little bit of dressing, a very small amount of leftovers, etc.Update: When I first unpacked these bowls, I tried all the lids and they fit snugly inside the bowls. However, with the first use of the middle-sized bowl, after having been in the refrigerator a while, the lid became loose and would only sit inside the bowl/would not form a seal. The only thing I can figure out is that the cold air in the frig caused the plastic lid to contract, b/c once I washed and dried it and it was at room temperature, the plastic lid once again fit snugly inside the bowl. I haven't used the biggest bowl yet, and the smallest one hasn't yet done this, but based on the lid becoming loose after being in the frig, I would no longer rate these bowls 5 stars, 4 at most.

It looks like I bought these almost 6 years ago. I was just in the kitchen this morning thinking about how these are maybe the most-used things in my kitchen, and I should write a review. They're just really convenient. I've used the bigger bowls with the lids for bringing things to potlucks (pre-covid -- potlucks haven't returned here yet) and the little ones I use for "mise en place" when I have a bunch of chopped up herbs or garlic or something else small to add to a dish, or to crack eggs into before adding them to something, or to put the egg into to slide it into the water to poach. They're still in pretty good shape, the only downside is that I've lost the lid to the smallest of the 3 big bowls.

Ohmygosh, I am even *more* excited about this set now that I have it than I was when I ordered it! (Yes, I do lead a sad and empty life (not really)).Seriously - I stumbled across these while I was looking for a stainless steel bowl with which to do pot-in-pot cooking in my  Instant Pot electric pressure cooker  (but even if you're considering these as just, you know, mixing bowls, read on). I knew that the inner dimensions of the Instant Pot's inner pot were 8.5 inches in diameter and about 6" in depth, and that the vessel for pot-in-pot cooking should be no more than 7.5 inches or so in diameter, and so the smallest of the 3 main bowls in the set was going to be perfect.Then I saw the pinch bowls! And that was it, I *had* to make them mine!COVERED pinch bowls! Plus lids for all of the other bowls, and that was it. I ordered them, and *so* hoped they would be everything that I'd imagined, and not be, you know, cheap and flimsy.Well, I was *so* pleasantly surprised! These go well above and beyond my expectations!They are sturdy and solid, but not heavy at all. The lids fit perfectly, and on the main bowls they nestle into the inside of the rim (making them easy and safe to stack with food in them). And of course, when empty, they all nest inside each other.The pinch bowls are *adorable*, and handy!Now, for you Instant Pot and other pressure cooker folks: the smallest of the main bowls fits perfectly inside the Instant Pot's inner pot for pot-in-pot cooking. AND! The pinch bowls are *perfect* for poaching eggs!Seriously, poaching eggs in my Instant Pot has been my holy grail. I have tried it with so many different containers. The eggs stick to the silicone ones (which also tend to fall over); Pyrex custard cups work well, but also tend to keep some egg stuck to them even when you grease them. But these pinch bowls? Perfect! Just wipe a little butter or oil on the inside, crack the egg into them, put them on the steamer (a cup of water in the bottom), and do them at high pressure for 2 minutes - *perfect* poached eggs! (See pictures.) (This is the  steamer that I use in the Instant Pot )All in all, I consider this the perfect stainless steel mixing bowl set! There are a few others sets where one (possibly two) of the bowls might fit inside the Instant Pot, but this is the only one *with covers* AND with pinch bowls!

The bowls themselves are lovely and just heavy enough to hold whatever you put in them without tipping over if you pour something in too quickly, but they do slide around some when stirring, and the plastic lids don't fit well while in the fridge, they tend to contract too much and slide around when you go to grab the bowl by the lip. I've learned to use both hands to get them out of the fridge because it feels like the whole thing will slip and fall from the loose lid. The lids work just fine when room temp though, and will make a nice seal.

I like these bowls. Be prepared though, the small bowls are very small, I mean like smaller than an egg. An egg will not fit in these bowls with the lid on so I think the pictures are lacking a little in showing actual size. Other than that they seem to be decent quality and should hold up pretty well. Pay very close to the dimensions they give in the description and purchase accordingly. For the price I am not disappointed.

I ordered these during Amazons lighting deal sale, They arrived almost a week sooner than expected which was very exciting! I am in love with these bowls. The 4 different size bowls work for anything you may be making, and they clean up with ease every time! I use the medium bowl as a double boiler it fits perfectly in my large sauce pan, I have burnt butter chocolate you name it in this blow and it always wipes right out.The lids lock down into the bowls making them spill proof, and great storage containers. They are perfect to cook in, i use them to store leftovers without worry. the lids are so secure I never worry about spills. If you do any baking or cooking this is the bowl set to own. I highly recommend them This Stainless Steel Mixing bowl set would be a perfect gift for any newlywed or someone just starting out.

Durable and efficient. Good quality and easy to store with limited space. These bowls are great for the cook who likes to make everything from scratch, like myself. I use the bowls for preparing and can also store any leftovers in fridge. I use the smaller bowls for storing chopped herbs such as thyme. Stayed fresh for about a week.

Excellent quality. The lids slide into the top rather than clip over side. This doesn't make for the tightest seal but is just fine for everyday storage in the fridge or on the counter. They might not be the best choice for sloshing around in a car for instance. But the covers are substantial and I wouldn't hesitate to put one on top of the other.

These bowls are awesome. The three largest sizes are perfect and beautiful. The kids fit nice and snug = no leaking!The four small bowls I use all the time for my herbs and sauces. Or as small serving dishes.Love this set. WORTH IT!

The small containers are basically useless. They sit in my cupboards gathering dust. The others work as to be expected, they're stainless steel mixing bowls. Nothing too earth shattering.

I love these. Lightweight, stackable, easy to pull out of the cupboard for mixing all kinds of foods. The covers are very handy. One thing to note is that the shiny interior will scratch if you use a hand mixer.
