This new series by Kf Breene is excellent. I love her wit and snark.Jessie is a newly divorced woman looking for something new and interesting. 5 BIG ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Breene has outdone herself with this one. It might just be my all time favorite out of all of her books, which is saying a LOT as I love her books.Fanfreakingtabulous!!! Finally a book that not only embraces what middle age it, it celebrates the hell out of it.The characters are colorful & full of life! The world building is fantastic. 🤩OUTSTANDING 🤩

Please, for the love of cheese doodles, tell me there will be more to this world?! I might throw a tantrum if there isn’t. I’ll pout for sure and you will too once you read the latest creative gem from the brilliant, diabolical mind of K.F. Breene. I feel like her characters should start some sassy “How to” blog of some sort.Jessie, the main female character in this book...series...[please, please, please]...could do hers on 101 Uses For a Swiss Army Knife...while drunk. ;-) She’s very inventive. It’s a definite improvement on another series’ character’s whistle.Jessie, short for Jacinta, is finding herself suddenly divorced at forty with her child safely in college and at a loss for what to do with herself. Move home? Ugh. If she has to. Oh crap. Were her parents always this eccentric? I identified and laughed so hard through the descriptions and idiosyncrasies of her older parents and their home that I almost wet myself. So true to life, this book.But alas, Jessie is saved by her dearest friend who asks if she’d like to be the caretaker of their ‘haunted’ family estate which just happens to be very, VERY far away from her parent’s house. Who could resist?Jessie runs afoul of the crusty butler with moth eaten clothes, the salty, rock throwing Irish neighbor who just wants to get her drunk, the ‘vampire’ groundskeeper and the hot bartender on her first day there. What’s a girl to do? Cause mayhem only K.F. Breene can create, of course. With her epic one liners and imaginative creatures, she breathes new life into a genre that desperately needs it. Keep it coming. Keep. It. Coming. I am a fan for life.

This is the first of her books that I have read and I will be back for more. This story is full of action and adventure. Jessie is a Jane and she doesn't even know it. Her life was turned upside down but that didn't upset her. She talked to her best friend and was able to find a new job at a house she loved as a child. Little did she know the house wasn't what it seemed and it will change her life if she lets it.K.F. Breene did an amazing job bringing these characters to life. I could not put this story down. I hope there are more with this set of characters because I cannot wait to see where she takes this ragtag group that I have come to love. I highly recommend putting aside some time when you pick up this book because you will not want to put it down either

Talk about a spectacular start to a new series. It's a truly relatable, laugh-out-loud book with a paranormal twist. I fell in love with these characters and cannot wait for the next book!!!

The Paranormal Women's Fiction force came out swinging today, and Magical Midlife Madness hit one out of the park. K.F. Breene brings her brand of heartfelt craziness in this delightful series debut.The premise is simple: A 40's something woman hits that dreaded midlife wall. Hubby wants to trade in the 40 year old for a 20 something and change. Kids are mostly grown and what is a woman without a socially acceptable purpose to do but go hunting for HER life on HER terms. Our heroine finds herself as caretaker to a house that holds secrets in a town filled with even more secrets. And not only that, but it's populated by some full out, off their rockers, characters.I found myself laughing out loud while reading. And when I wasn't laughing, I was grinning away, or nodding agreement at the wise musings of Jessie, our heroine. Because you don't get to be 40 something and not have learned some life truths along the way. Don't get me wrong, Jessie doesn't have all the answers, she just knows that staying in place isn't the way to go. Nor is going backwards, leaving the only pathway left to follow is moving forward. Even when she knows that way isn't going to be easy. Because when you hit midlife madness, the one thing you know is nothing worth having comes easy.So yes, grab this book right now. Find a cozy place to park yourself and read. You'll enjoy your time, you'll laugh out loud, you'll find yourself in love with Jessie and her new friends.

Finally, a paranormal fantasy female character close to my age that I can relate to! Jess shares my no nonsense attitude. Many laugh out loud snarky moments that caused me to get some weird looks from my hubby! Read the entire book in one setting! Absolutely adore the support characters.

I absolutely adore KF Breene's DDVN world so when all 13 books of the new PWF event published at once I went to hers first, knowing I could rely on warm, wonderful characters and a story full of wit and action. I obviously was not disappointed. I did find myself sceptical at first of a boatload of books centred on women in their 40's (umm, my age, not very exciting) but this totally won me over and now I can't wait to get to the rest of them, some of them authors I also love.Jess was funny, relatable and simultaneously what you would expect and a complete surprise too. With her life crashing and burning behind she embraces the new and proves herself capable of change and growth. The house and it's strange town are refreshing and delightful, with a whole host of eccentric characters. Looking at you Niamh! Can't wait for the next.

Hilarious, incredible brilliant book! I was so excited about this new trend PWF genre created by 13 fabulous authors and every book I read I'm loving it more and more. This book isn't an exception. Couldn't put it down!Kickass heroine in her forties, so no- nonsense, no drama just taking fresh start from the scratch diving into new life where magic awaits her. Getting to know her amazing crew of weirdos which I love and it's so much fun to read about them! Can't get enough of Austin!Storyline is unique even for a paranormal world!What are you waiting for?? Just pick up this book because you really need this in your life and will want more!

I absolutely loved this book. A slowish start morphs into an amazing world for jacinta called jessie by her friends a 40 something woman divorced and an empty nester, who goes to housesit a magic house in a supernatural town with wine. So well written I could not put it down. I loved the sassy jessie and her mad cap aged crew and their war, it's an amazing well written story and if there were ten stars that's what I would have rated it at. I highly recommend

Wow! Loved this book. Great characters that developed through the story. Super setting, makes me want to be there in person. The story line had great action, humour and just that touch of romantic potential. Can’t wait for book two. I’ve found a great new to me author!

What an amazing read, totally fell in love with jessie, she's an amazing lady and is funny as hell especially when she's drunk, a brilliant array of quirky characters that you'll fall in love with, Austin is one badass dude but is all soft for jessie, what a storyline that will keep you hooked till the end, plenty of twists and turns and very funny moments, can't wait to see what's in store next for jessie and the gang❤️
