Brilliant old school SF
Good old school SF from the seventies. Some are funny takes on the First Contact scenario, anticipating Douglas Adams: some acquire dark undertones as they revisit the horror of the US waging its mindless war of conquest in Vietnam. If you are an old school SF fan, get this book to read "The Man Who Walked Home"---a brilliant short story on hard science, memory, nostalgia, and time-travel gone wrong.

I have been looking for a new copy for years.
I was somehow believing this purchase to be for a trade paperback. It arrived in a timely manner in very good shape as one would expect for a new copy. The standard paperback size was a bit of a letdown, specifically at the price paid. The quality and the scent of the ink when opened was as expected, fresh. This is something you simply can't get through a screen, scent. The paper used is of good possibly acid free paper. The contents of the book are widely discernible due to the age of the collection, not the printing. A fine and strong collection that has been out of my personal library for too many years, I will add it to the current Queue and work my way towards rereading it. I can now look forward this activity instead of merely anticipating it.
