MerrellMen's Forestbound Wp Hiking Shoe

This is the third pair I have bought. Great shies, comfy and come in half sizes.

Having many pairs of Merrell shoes I know that they are generally comfortable straight out of the box. These are no exception. They seem fairly sturdy with quite a chunky sole. Grip is good.I wore them on the day of arrival for a long dog walk in damp weather and my feet were perfectly dry. Have worn them since in very wet weather and can vouch for them being totally waterproof.The only upgrade I have made is replacing the insoles, which I do on all my shoes, due to suffering from a foot problem. These are true to size. Liked them so much I have now got them in 2 different colours.Will update the review if anything changes. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

So comfortable, recommend these walking shoes

I use these shoes as a winter street shoe with jeans, but with the potential for occasional road performance if required. I don't see them performing well as a primary technical walking shoe. They have decent grip, out of the box comfort, can be easily reproofed. Look ok with casual wear. One or two of the tape lace loops are looking frayed after a year of use, hence only four stars. Have just bought another pair in Black Friday sale, to put away for when these wear out. Size about half a size small.

Had to buy a new pair of walking shoes as my last ones (different make) sprung a leek after 10 months. Spent much more on these and was attracted by the lovely brown colour and the mention of coated leather. They took around 12 days to arrive, a bit longer than expected. I ordered size 11.5. Amazon recommended my usual size 11 but I was cautious as a seemingly identical pair in a different colour was recommended 11.5. Let's say I'm really glad I sized up a half as when I first tried them on they were only just right, I mean snug, so a half size lower would not have fitted me. I've worn them a few times in the last couple of weeks and I've been quite impressed with them. They look smart and feel quality and make a lovely reassuring clumping noise as you walk. They feel very sturdy and have coped well in the rain and snow and ice already on pavements. I'm hoping these last me a decent length of time but so far I'm impressed.

I bought a pair of these in late May 2023. Merrell have always done me proud but not this time. Great for the first few weeks. Comfortable and a good fit. As soon as the weather changed in July I found out that they were not waterproof at all. Even a short walk through short dewy grass results in soaked feet. Really disappointed. Probably the least waterproof shoes I’ve ever had and now Autumn is here they are completely useless to me. Such a shame as I’ve lost my faith in a maker that I’ve had a lot of footwear over many years.

Die Schuhe waren zum Anfang etwas zu eng aber nach ein bar Tagen waren sie Eingelaufen und Sie Trücken nicht mehr Laufe suber in den Schuhen

Impermeables. De pell. Còmodes i de sola tova però tenen una bona subjecció al terra tant en sec com humit. Semblen resistents, espero que em durin molts km de caminades per la muntanya. Estèticament m'agraden força. Les tornaria a comprar.
