Works very well
I constructed 6 of these. I used 30" PVC lengths in 5 of them and all worked perfectly for 5-1/2' diameter structures. I tried to get creative with 1 and used 60" PVC lengths for a 10-1/2' diameter structure. It put too much stress on the porcupine ball and snapped it in half. I bolted it back together and managed to get this huge sputnik looking structure in 20' of water near the other 5 that are in 12' of water. they all hold fish but the crappie seem to love the 10-1/2' one. It would be nice if a heavy duty porcupine ball could be manufactured for use with 60" PVC lengths. But no complaints.

Already attracting fish
Easy for my grandchildren to assemble. They enjoyed the process of putting them under the dock When the lake comes up, they will be completely under the water. We already have bass bedding around them. Due to the style, the fish appear to feel safe and do not swim away. The grandchildren can stand on the sock and watch the fish swim among the pipes. I ordered even more.

Only One Complaint
The spheres are very nice products in general, but I found that the limb receptacle sockets were too close in size to the 1/2” Sched 40 pvc pipes I was inserting. Because of this they were difficult to insert and I fractured (2) of the sockets during pipe insertion. They are unnecessarily tight. Widen the sockets by 2-3/100s of an inch and make the job simpler for the customer. Other than that, they spheres are great.

Works great
I've used several and made several of my own. These seem to work the best. 1 dislike is they break very easily if you handle incorrectly while dropping them in.

Worth every penny
Started a structure program 3 years ago with PVC contraptions, and Christmas trees. Was going well but I Purchased a Dozen spheres and put these together with PVC from Lowes. They have been in the water 9 months. These are covered with algae and there are always fish around them. Our fishing success is getting better and we expect the fish population to continue to grow. These spheres provide a better cover and seem to attract morte fish than anything else in our lake. We plan to add a doxen more this year and next. Our 180 acre lake is becoming a great fishery thanks to these and our other added structure. This is just what the doctor ordered.

It does not come with any pipe to complete the installation.
It does not come with any pipe to complete the structure. Nowhere in the description does it say you need to spend $100’s of extra money to assemble. Plus I’m sure the glue and primer that would be required is most likely not pond safe. Stay away from the product in my opinion.
