Excellent value, at less than 50 pence per sensor when I bought them. I haven't used all of them, but the dozen that I have used all worked reliably and to specification. I just have them dotted around a self navigating robot for collision avoidance and to help with alignment when driving in to it's recharging nest.

as these stand they are somewhat slow in detection BUT by removing the 104 cap from the input and the led from the output they become very quick i am using these boards slightly modded as above on a Chronograph for air rifles with parralel BPW34s 11 and a red line laser as the source thet will detect a needle tip breaking the beam althou only half of the lm393 is used (pulse shaper maybe)

Bought a box of these boards and although there are no instructions provided you just need to hook up the module to power and ground plus an digital input line of your processor board. I used a spare AI Thinker ESP8266 MOD board to test and my Arduino IDE sketch is shown running in attached video. Note the detection works as the inverse of what you might be expecting so digital zero is output when a reflection is detected, digital 1 is output otherwise. These items worked as expected but the sensors are too large for my purposes. There are smaller types out there which I now know would suit me better.

Received Order in Very Good time. All were then Tested and ALL were found to work just fine, with good sensitivity adjustments too. This is my 2nd batch and I will buy more in the future. All round GOOD PRODUCT and SERVICE.

Nice, tiny, and functional circuit boards. Very easy to test, and subsequently build into a N scale model train system. I am using several of them to control station and crossing lights. I added another timing circuit to maintain the lights ON for a few seconds after the trains pass and the OPTO turns OFF. I have found though that the advertised distance of 30cm is not accurate. I bench tested them and found that they actually only detected obstacles to about 4.5 - 5 inches (around 12cm), which is well short of the advertised 30cm (11.8 inches). Not a problem for my setup however. I did test 4 of the 20 units and found very little variation in their functioning. The batch of 20 is a lifetime supply for me, so no need to order more. But I do recommend them within their operating range and the caveats noted.

Ingebouwd in een schaduwstation. Afstellen niet alleen met de potmeter op de print, maar ook door licht naar elkaar toe buigen van de leds. Werkt prima icm 5v relaisprintjes en schakelen betrouwbaar de rails stroomloos. Ik heb er 2 parallel gezet en verschillend afgesteld zodat alle loks en alle kleuren trefzeker worden gezien.
