This works best when using one eye. It isn't a magnifier that can be easily used with both eyes. There is a small central area where that will work but not well. I love the stand and the higher-magnification small lens. I got this specifically because it has a built-in stand that allows it to be used hands free. I use it when I need to dig tiny slivers out of my hands after working in the garden. As soon as this arrived, I installed 3 AAA batteries, set it up on its stand and dug 4 tiny slivers from my hands. The larger lens was good for finding them, and then the small high-power lens was perfect for digging them out with a needle. It also functions well as a handheld too, but if that was the primary use, I'd get a less bulky alternative.

It's great for the price. I just use it for an initial quick scan of coins and i was caught off guard by the many different positions the stand offers by way of triple pivot points. I like the fact that it comes with a hardwire option as well. Hardwire included. The lights are bright with two brightness levels. Oh yeah, it's durable too. Which i found out accidentally. So there ya have it. I forget what I paid but I know it wasn't much and I've been more than appreciative of this magnifiers capabilities. Also included was a decent little cleaning cloth. You won't be disappointed for the price point.

I needed a magnifying glass for home use. I have blurred vision very often for several days at a time and can't see to read anything. This will come in handy, especially with the added light feature. I just wish it was a little bigger. My fault for not paying better attention to the measurements.

Love it! Inexpensive but does the job. So cool how you can use it as a hand held or unfold it for desk mode. I’m using it for coins.You’ll need 3 aaa batteries but it comes with a wire you can plug into a usb port to operate the light.If the designed a new one at a higher cost with a rechargeable battery, I would buy it.

I've been using this particular magnifying glass for several years,; however, the past two order received were less than expected for previous quality - 1 LED out of 8 iwas not lighting on one magnifying glass and the second order received the handle extension mechanisim was not fully functinal - needless to say the manufacuter's quality control appears to be slipping.

A very good aid. Good for small print and as an artist tool for very detailed work. This is a well made useful product which is reasonably priced. I'm glad I bought this versatile instrument.

I am working on some laptop upgrades. And, I ran into a problem with a screw head. It has never been removed forever and I am not sure how they got it in there as the grooves were barely there. It seems to have been made wrong. I proceeded anyway and now the thread is stripped as the screws are soft. So, now I find myself trying to do electronic surgery to get the screw out. I have been hunched over my laptop with a flashlight shrugged against my neck that keeps falling and shutting off, while folding a magnifying glass and trying to do precision work on a tiny recessed screw. Ultimately, I decided that I needed a better set up.I am so glad I bought this! The magnification level work well with the height of the glass. The lights give good illumination of the recesses of the boards, and it is very easy to adjust its position and angle so that I can use either lens. I think this will also be useful for examining the connectors before I push or pull something so that I am manipulating it the right was and line things up well.I am so glad I bought this one.p!

Meets my needs. Magnification is fine. I appreciate the compact size. If you need a large viewing area, this is not for you.
