Parts as described. Works fine. Very delicate. No glue, no instructions.
Bought this for a 2016 MacBook pro after I ruined the spacebar while trying to fix it. You will need some form of double sided tape or glue -- just the nature of the way Apple designed the keyboard. You really should watch multiple videos on the repair on YouTube before starting. One false move and the tiny little plastic pieces will break. Again, just the nature of the way Apple designed things. Honestly, if I didn't live 3 hours from the nearest Apple store I'd have just taken it in to have them fix it. The DIY route requires a careful and patient approach. Apple even repairs sticky/broken keys on these keyboards free sometimes due to a class action lawsuit. I went DIY and appreciate the availability of these parts.

No stick-um!
The clear plastic clips have no adhesive. Useless!

Works, but needs to come with adhesive
It seems to work fine. Unfortunately, I had removed the adhesive that was already there. I agree with the other reviewers, that this would function much better if it came with adhesive. The adhesive I purchased (0.15mm thick) did not seem to be the right height, as the hinge spring doesn't function properly. I would recommend against CA glue as it damaged the key membrane when drying; I believe the off-gassing from the drying interacted with the plastic and damaged it. Two things of note: 1. The hinge is directional. The images in the product are trying to show that there is a front and back, top and bottom, which need to be oriented correctly to work. The front and back are clear in the images, but top and bottom are not. The top of the hinge has the metal bar farther from the edge, whereas the bottom of the hinge has the bar closer to the edge. The top of the hinge is towards the screen, and the bottom of the hinge is towards the trackpad. Correct alignment ensures the keycap clips engage correctly. 2. It seemed that my center piece (seen below) was directional in its functionality. It only functioned when the tip of the central cutout was pointed toward the screen. So take note if that is the case before permanently adhering that part.

Didn’t work, maybe not their fault
Product seemed okay, butterfly seemed soft. It was my second spacebar replacement on this doomed stupid keyboard… hard to tell if the keyboard is just shot, or if I installed incorrectly.

Very fiddley, but it fixed the laptop and got the job done.
You really need to pay attention to which way the parts go on. The front vs. back are very similar, but really matter. The instructions could be much better, but after all was said and done, I got the laptop working again, for far less than the $650 that Apple wanted to charge.

Works perfectly great product
The spacebar on my MacBook Pro wasn’t working properly so I tried pulling it off and ended up breaking the little white pieces on the butterfly hinge. There are videos and tutorials on the internet that show the installation process and make it easier but it does take some patience and paying attention to orientation. The best thing you can do is pay attention and take pictures as you’re taking apart the original so that you have a reference to fall back on. 1. Gently take off plastic pieces underneath hinge with a razor blade or credit card. (These lock in hinge in step 3) 2. Put down hinge in correct orientation as shown in product description on Amazon. 3. Put back down the plastic to lock in hinge making sure to line up the holes and seating them properly. 4. Finally put back on spacebar with correct orientation starting with bottom (hooks in) and then pushing down somewhat firmly on the top until you hear clicks. (I’d start from one side making sure you hear it click down each time) 3 clicks. Keep in mind this doesn’t come with any adhesive but you should be fine with the sticky that’s already on the laptop as long as you make sure to take your time and not ruin that part. Hope this helps.

Not Worth It
This broke within the first day. It was installed correctly and worked well for a day but the second day I opened my laptop it fell off. Just not worth it for the price.

Doesn’t come with the necessary adhesive.
There are TINY pieces of adhesive that hold down the butterfly switch and the contact itself, but the kit doesn’t come with new adhesive and it peels off when you remove the broken parts. It’s necessary for reinstallation and for proper spring in the butterfly switch.
