Women's Wave Rider 24 Waveknit Running Shoe

I have been wearing different versions of the wave rider for years. This is my favorite shoe for outdoor road running. The best feature of this shoe is the lightweight feel but the support is not compromised. I can't stand anything more than running on a heavy shoe. I have a neutral foot strike so I would take that into consideration when you buy any shoe meant for running. This shoe may not support the needs of people who have a different strike.As far as others complaint the shoe is narrow I did not have this experience. My foot is on the wider side and they do offer this shoe in wide if you truly feel you need it. It is not a tight fight but secure fit.I also was not sure I would like the knit upper but I have really enjoyed it and still feel the shoe offers the secure upper fit I need. I am sure the shoe is perfectly fine for everyday use as well but as someone who strictly wears them for running I highly recommend giving Mizuno and the Wave Rider a try for anyone looking to switch up their running shoes.

I originally bought my son a pair of these running shoes (he’s young and the women’s fit better because he has a narrow foot) at a running store. They were awesome shoes that lasted him the entire school year and he even ran cross country in them. His foot grew and they were getting worn out so at the beginning of the summer I bought the EXACT same model off Amazon. Within a week the soles started falling off the shoes. Thinking we just got a bad pair I returned them and was sent a replacement since we were in the return window. The replacement pair did the exact same thing within the first month but now I’m past 30 days so can’t return them!! This is obviously a knock off or inferior shoe since I had no issues with the one I bought in an actual running store. This is not a cheap shoe and it should last A LOT longer than a MONTH! I’m very disappointed I wasted that money and will not be buying my boys tennis shoes off Amazon anymore. We had to go to the Nike store to buy him another pair of shoes for school since these are goners! Sad that I don’t trust the two Amazon pairs to be true Mizuno shoes since the online ones didn’t hold up like the store bought pair.

Very comfortable shoes but unfortunately, they started falling apart a few days into wearing them. The rubber is coming undone on the bottom of the shoe.

I have had multiple pairs of Mizunos and these are the first to be a little too narrow. They are always well made and maybe these will stretch out a little.

I read the reviews so I sized up 1/2 size, but found the wave runners were still too small. Amazon quickly sent out a larger pair, so that was not an issue! So I recommend ordering a full size larger than your shoe size. For example, I wear a size 8M shoe, so I ordered a size 9M! I have worn stability athletic shoes in the past, because I am a pronater, but I did not like the restricted toe off or the tightness around the ankle once I started running. The wave knits are soft and comfortable, the arch support is great, the tread is perfect for running outdoors. And I love the way they look! This is my first experience with Saucony, and so far, so good!

First I ordered my size (8). Was way too small and I read the reviews and decided to order both 8 1/2 and 9. I have never worn a nine in any shoe. The 9 fit perfectly ( the 8 1/2 was snug and felt my toes didn't quite have enough room so I used the free return and sent them back) I have a medium/narrow foot and very narrow heels. I used the "heel lock: or "lace lock" technique to help with heel slippage. It worked pretty well with these shoes. Just look up the technique on youtube. The shoe laces were a bit short in my opinion. Only enough for one tie (not a double knot) and my feet are on the narrow side. They are very comfortable and seem to be very stable. I'll update my review later if anything changes.

The sizing is way off on these shoes I was so ready to love these but I am new to this brand. For over 30 years, I have consistently worn a size 8 M in Brooks, ASICS and Nike. I should have read the reviews on these because so many people said they ran small. My bad. But the shoe itself looked very nice and very well-made. I am pretty sure, for me, it was over a whole size too small, so I’m not sure what to suggest for folks to order. Anyway, going back to Brooks Ghost... just was hoping to find a new shoe.

Update 7/17: Amazon stood by its customer in this case and satisfied my request, which is appreciated when time can not be recovered. Delivered Jun 10, 2021. The sole of one of the shoes has already ripped apart. The only activities these have had is walking on asphalt, a few times weekly for 1.5 miles. In under 1 month, the sole of the right shoe has separated. I am requesting a complete replacement or refund. Until I receive a resolution, I do not recommend these shoes. None of my other Mizuno shoes ever had this type of problem.

I’ve order a pair before I got wrong size but I sent back clean and unusedBut I got the size smaller and it was clear that it was dirty and someone either had a dirty house or they took them outside. And that sad. I expect a thorough look at the shoes before resending a pair of shoes someone

all synthetic so will make your feet sweat.
