will this adapter work on a LG tv

I found out the hard way when I replaced my 10-year old Samsung for a TCL. 3.5mm pin-out: from tip to base: TCL: Red, White, Common, Yellow aka Right, Left, Ground, Video The Other: Yellow, Red, White, Common aka Video, Right, Left, Ground

This is far too short to connect my roku tv to my dvd player. is anyone aware of a longer version of this or an extension of some sort?

My first question would be is the DVD player sitting close enough to your TV? I ask because I have a 40" Roku TV in my bedroom qnd the DVD player sits to the left qnd the cord is long enough to reach the input jacks on the far right on the TV.

So, if i use one of these with a tcl roku tv and a sony dvd/ vcr player, does anyone know if i can play videocassettes and record them to dvd?

You can use that Adapter to play your VHS cassettes or DVD's and watch them on your TV but you'll need a special recording machine if you're trying to transfer the data FROM the VHS tape TO the DVD
