GREAT!
My 6 year old(5 last summer) loves her new paddle. It's so light weight for kids. She is very slim and weak and has no problem with this at all. I wish I had one in my size. This is a high end paddle but you really need the light weight for children. Will last for ever so it's worth the little extra for the quality and name...

Poor Quality
The center that holds the two parts together broke before we got a chance to use it. Pity, because it's a good size for younger children.

Good for the price
This is a decent kid paddle for the price. It appears to be well built and effective, and a good size for my 9 year old daughter.

good for kids for short paddles
This is a very sturdy and well made paddle. We bought two paddles and each has a slightly different color pattern (mix of yellow and red) so the kids like their own. We used them for paddling in the ocean, and my six year old daughter can paddle our double Klepper for several minutes - but then the paddle is too heavy for her to hold and she needs a break. But she used it every day, again and again. We use it now also as a back-up paddle for ourselves - but for an adult in the Klepper as primary paddle it is too short (and I prefer our much lighter but also much more expansive touring paddles). So overall very good quality, sturdy (survived several landings on gravel beaches without any issues) and the kids like the colors, but for long paddles and kids under 8 probably on the heavy side.

Lightweight and sturdy
My 6 year old daughter is able to use this paddle perfectly well in her brand new kayak! The paddle is great quality and very light... Just what we required.

Purchased last year - works great for kids
Purchased last year - works great for kids. 9 and 12 yr old have no problem with it. In fact, I just purchased an adult one sized at 220 and actually prefer this shorter paddle (190)

I wanted a good paddle for my kids to learn with
I wanted a good paddle for my kids to learn with, but didn't want to spend a lot of money. Unfortunately, the drip guards did not work very well, and both my kids got very wet when they used it. I tried it as well, assuming that they were just lifting the paddle to high as they are both new to kayaking, but I also got quite wet. I tried moving the drip guards to multiple locations and it didn't seem to matter where they were placed. When we hooked the two sections together, they didn't fit together tight, it was a slightly loose connection. We have a tandem kayak, 28 inches wide, and the paddle seemed a little small to reach the water comfortably for my kids as well. I'll have to get something new, and longer. It's worth spending the extra money to get something of quality. Would not recommend.
