Benchmade - Mini-AXIS Stryker 904, Tanto, Satin Finish

I bought the spyder co titanium knife but didn't like the way it opened and I wanted a tanto grind. This knife is very very nice comparing the two i don't feel like spyder is in the same league. The way it opens and shuts is so smooth. The grind was very very good (didn't like the spyderco grind it was off) The only thing I don't like and its my own fault is that I don't like the grip. It grips so much that I can't slide it into my pocket which is a huge setback considering i use the clip a lot. My next knife will be a smooth medal one but for sure it will be a Benchmade. If this knife ever lets me down I will update my reviews.

Very nice knife! I am not a knife expert but know what I like. This knife is replacing my 707 Sequel as an EDC and the steel hold a razor sharp edge. The scales have plenty of microtexturing and just enough jimping for positive control. The finger cutout also adds to a great feel and fit for everyday tasks.The blade is thick and deployment is smooth. Pocket clip holds well and will fit dress pants to jeans with no issue. I am glad I went with Benchmade!!

This is my first Axis lock Benchmade. Even with the blade pivot tension loose enough to allow the knife to swing open when the lock is pulled back, there is no side play when the lock is engaged. The low profile pocket clip is great - closer to the Spyderco low profile wire clips. To me the tanto shaped blade has less cutting power than one with more curvature, but I expected that going in. OTOH, the point pierces superbly, and the straight blade is somewhat easier to sharpen. Great little knife.

This knife is extremely well made. The word that comes to mind is sturdy. I sharpened the edge to my liking and it is proving to have durability as well. The lock is positive and the unlock is easy and intuitive. I like this knife for the textured g10 grips and the strong clip, won't be slipping out of your pocket unless intended. Decent little knife. The only thing which let me down is that the blade edge chipped a little after cutting (I swear to god) through some Italian hard cheese....Other than that all good. Nice lock up with the axis-lock, no blade play, blade perfectly centred. Handles great.

Great little workhorse, knife is slender yet stout. It doesn't feel like it will break when in use and you don't really notice it in your pocket. Nice deep cary clip so it rides low as well. Blade hair under 3" handle about 4" & .4" thick, with my average man hands I can just get a 4 finger hold-little finger on roughly 1/3.I'd say it's an excellent small knife with big knife performance. As perfect as it is if you like knives it still won't be the last one you buy.

Great knife. Got this to replace my mini grip tanto, and its a definate improvement in design. The g10 scales are a lot more grippy and the angle of the tanto edge isn't steep so it makes cutting materials easier.
