I talked to Kindle about my device, thinking it was toast. The rep had to prod me pretty hard to try this charger, which I swore was not the issue, and it was. Went from not charging at all, despite my switching out each of the components with others, and sure enough that was it. I was grateful that Kindle helped me save my Paperwhite Reader, which has had YEARS of life left in it!

Great charger and I really like the longer cord.

After losing my Kindle charging cord on a trip last year, I purchased this replacement. It has worked well for me and it was quite reasonably priced.

It works but is a bit short for some uses. Definitely buying a longer cord. Works fine as an initial cord.

I was in the middle of my book on my kindle when the damn thing went dark for lack of charging. the charger that came with the Kindle was misplaced during a move and I couldn't find it. I'm in the middle of a really good book so I decided it was a worthy expense to finish reading my book and found this on Amazon. Flash recharge for my Kindle and I'm back in action reading again. Stowing in a safe place for 'next time".
