These are wonderful. We have a well with minerals in it. Even though we have a water filter system on our entire house, after re-filling the hot tub each spring and putting the necessary chemicals in, the water would immediately turn brown. I would have to use so many other chemicals to counteract what the minerals in the water had done. This was a daunting task each and every spring. We had, for the last 4 years, gone to the spring down the road and haul fresh spring water back to fill our hot tub up which is approx 450 gallons. It was an all day task. This year I decided that we were not going to do that and I purchased the Eccone Eco-8014 All Purpose Garden and Hose Filter. It worked like a charm. I added the hot tub chemicals and the water stayed perfectly clear. I would recommend this to everyone except for the fact that the manufacturer has discontinued it. What a bummer. I wish I knew why they did. This was perfect for homeowners like us.

We have very hard water. Used to fill 15,000 gallon pool and ended up at 100ppm of calcium. Calcium messes with chlorine levels and causes problems with the other chemicals. If they get to high you have to drain pool. They recommend to have 200 to 400ppm. The longer you keep levels low the longer you prevent having to drain and refill. Very happy with this product. We have a pebble TEC pool so we really don't need the calcium. If you have a plaster pool you want to keep calcium level at about 200ppm.

Very disappointed with this filter. It's awful expensive to have the threads strip out and leak right away. Past the return date so I have no options. Really bummed I wanted this to work.

The media could not be loaded.  It does help reduce the chemicals that you need to use over time in a hot tub I think I would probably get a large one if I had a pool

Was a little concerned with some of them I have seen on Amazon but this one as you see flows really good and didn’t really slow filling up my pool.I need to bring my water back up since it hasn’t been raining and my water is really hard so tried this filter out. Make sure you run water through it before you stick it on the pool. Water came out black at first and that’s normal with a charcoal filter. Let it run for a bit then stuck it in pool. Pool seem to come like it normally did. I would highly recommend this and with adding this filter hardness did drop some.

We bought this for our RV the water we were hooking up to was hard water one filter didn't do it we bought another filter put two in line still did not work as well as we had hoped .. ended up buying a nuvo H2O system for a hot water heater and rigged it to run the water through it into a camper and it worked wonderful no discolored water had nice soft water..

I have high mineral content in my water and have been buying this filter 3 years in a row. Works great in giving me clear water for my hot tub. I use it for my plants as well. Very awesome product.

Worked great to fill our pool. We have well water and when we topped up the pool using this filter. The chemicals stayed consistent and way less minerals than filling without the filter.

Water was crystal clear right from the first full!

Second full of hot tub water came out brown. We have high iron levels but this filter was to work for 40,000 gallons. Not 500 gallons. I would like a replacement or my money back please.
