Sweet Swagger: Private Affair, Book 2

Ok read but it just seemed a little to out there for me at times. I will not spoil the read.

After the cliffhanger ending of "A Private Affair", I was fortunate enough to have not read the novel when it first came out, and I have already had "Sweet Swagger" on lock. "Sweet Swagger" started off exactly where "A Private Affair" ended and from there you was taken once again through Sean's life. I would've gave this book 5 stars but I had MAJOR problems with the editing. I could've sworn in the first novel Jamaal was spelled Jamal. Also there was a part where Sean stated him and Cameron talked on the phone until the sun came up, but when he got off the phone it was 3 something in the morning. PAUSE! One thing that I can say about this novel is that it held my attention and kept me entertained. It's not as dramatic as "A Private Affair" but it was smartly written and suspenseful. I figured who killed Thomas, but the person that was stalking Sean???? In Cameron language "I GAGGED!" lmao. That was very unexpected, and I also love how clever he added the SBI. I've never heard of it. I don't know if it's make-believe or real, but I love how he added it to the novel. It worked. Overall, this series is shaping up to be HIGHLY recommended, and I can't wait to read the next one.

I just ordered both books a couple of days ago and they arrived on yesterday (A Private Affair & Sweet Swagger). I read BOTH books in one sitting on yesterday! When I finished the first one I had to keep going...lol! I could not put those books down! The main characters were jumping off the pages and I was right there with them. Mike Warren did a great job with both books. I read A LOT, 2-3 novels a week and most of the time I am tempted to skip a bit if an author starts to ramble. I DID NOT do that with these books. Luckily I'm a housewife because I would be really tired today. I stayed up until the wee hours finishing the books. I have read all of Mr. Harris's novels but Mike Warren takes it to a different level. If ya like E. Lynn Harris you will love Mike Warren's work. Mr. Warren I sure do hope that you are working on the sequel (I need to research to see if its out there already), if not please get busy because I see at least two more books in this series!!! Please give us more. I need to know what Sean is doing in Hawaii and with who...lol!!! Great job!!!!

when I received a amazon gift card with a healthy limit I bought private affairs (book 1) a while ago. Upon finally reading it I really got into it & wound up banging it out in a day. Couldn't put it down, then got to the end & saw there was a part two I bought it immediately (that was yesterday) an now I'm finished thus one as well an am completely satisfied with the characters and story line. Now I'm excitedly ready to Read book three because I NEED to know....(well I can say what I need to know you gotta read this on first) but I need to know. I guarantee I you read this book not only will you not be able to put it down but you'll "need to know" also.

This was a great book to read. I read somewhere and I don't recall where but there was a comparison with this author to E. Lynn Harris. The two authors do not write alike but both have really good books to read. I don't think one is better than the other but I can say Mike Warren has placed a lot of steamy in this book and others. The characters, Sean and Cam have gone through a great deal, and yet have they had an opporutnity to claim their love for each other. I really enjoyed reading this one; the author kept me in suspense at times and caused me to want to return toread what happned next.

Let me tell you from the moment i downloaded this book to my Ipad i was hooked.This Story hit home for me, being a military man myself and struggling with my life as it were. This book is written so well that you feel that you are the main caractor. To me you get all the feeling you would if you were the main charactor.Im so impressed with the authors writing i have made him my personal friend.Can't wait till the follow on of this brilliant Novel. You keep doing your thing Mike, you truely have talent and a gift for writing.

I just finished reading Sweet Swagger, a good read, good flow, engaging characters. The book takes up where Mr. Warrens first book A Private Affair leaves off and continues the story of Sean Matthews and his journey of realizing who he is, finding out who is important in his life,and all the trials along the way. The ending leaves you wondering what the next chapter is in Sean's life will be, an enjoyable read. Ron B
