This is a good value, it is more solid than most and powder coat is super tough. Look is individual but doors work great and reflect light so you cannot see the inside when not in use but can open doors all the way for full view of the fire when in use. Functions well, easy to install, instructions easy to follow, and is solid installed. I think the ad should note that this comes with a 2 inch riser that you may or may not bolt on the bottom. It does not change the width but in the case of my fireplace...I was very happy that I did not have all the advertised height and it worked perfect to leave riser off (as directions state may be done). I am confident the riser bolts solid and would look great (same finish and strength) if it were used. .

These fireplace doors came very thoroughly packaged to prevent damage and were very easy to install by myself. They look really good and have added considerable value to my fireplace and living room appearance. Probably one of the best bangs for your buck in terms of DIY living room value upgrades you can do!

the discription said this pc would fit my fireplace. the opening was 37 x 27, the total length of this pc is 37 long, which doesnt leave any overhang to fit against the brick.. other than that very nice looking and well made... order the large one.

Bought this for my rather small fireplace (got the small version) because the old one allowed smoke to fill the room and the doors were falling apart. This has fixed the smoke issue! Did have an issue with the mounting brackets due to the design of my fireplace, but was able to get a little creative and make them work. Hasn’t been an issue, installation with easy and it looks very nice. Might recommend buying a little extra insulation with it as I wanted to add just a bit more than what it came with, but it’s the bee an issue. Great buy!

I read the reviews and selected this unit as the replacement for the stodgy, old 70's-styled fireplace door in place since I purchased the house. The was a one day delay on Amazon Prime delivery date but I wasn't complaining. The new fireplace door was packed well. Installation was a breeze, no installer needed and believe me, I will hire an installer in a hurry if I think there would be installation difficulties.I mounted the upper brackets directly into the lintel by drilling starter holes. The bottom brackets were mounted per the instruction book.As others have suggested, more insulation was needed.I could not be happier with this fireplace door and highly recommend it!

I received the product and I will definitely say it was really well packaged. Read the directions before you even begin to open the package so you will have everything you need without any interruptions and the measurements. I suggest an extra pair of hands and adequate lighting, they make the job go smoother. I did it by myself and was sweating bullets because I couldn't see where to place the clips. Yes, your head will be in the fireplace. After I fastened the clips the rest was a snap. It is sturdy and looks really nice. Do not buy if it is not a masonry fireplace.

Very happy with this purchase. Looks great and installed easily with simple instructions. Had plenty of tolerance in how to attach it to my brick and was able to make it work even on my really old fireplace. Read the sizing chart carefully to make sure you get the right size for your fireplace.

What a high quality unit this is. Very well put together and makes any fire place look great. It's eazy to put together and install. I did the job all by myself and it made my livingroom look so good. What a great price Amazon selles this unit for.You would pay another $ 50.00 plus tax anywhere else. If you want a great deal here it is.
