Never thought I'd be writing the following sentence, but: These are the best mid-sized dog poop bags I've ever used in my many decades of dog ownership. Without a backyard for the past roughly decade-and-a-half, that means I must walk my dogs on-leash outside, clean up after them, and carry the dang poop-filled bag for the rest of the walk, until we either reach a public trash receptacle, or the one outside my house.So, what's better about these bags that makes them worth reviewing? Well, the plastic material - claimed by the manufacturer as being made from mostly recycled plastic, so more "earth friendly" -- is thicker than most other bags I've used. That means it feels "better" (for lack of a better word) scooping up the poop, especially if it's messy (soft) poop. The thicker plastic makes it a bit easier to get as much of the mess as possible. The opening of the bag is wide, so if you have large hands, these should accommodate you.And these bags have handles, which makes it easy to tie the ends when the deed is done, and easy to carry them while walking. Finally, with a hot summer beginning, I'm wondering if the thicker plastic will hold in the smell in better too. The manufacturer claims they are leak-proof. So far I've had no reason to doubt that claim.UPDATE: After using these bags for a couple of months over a very hot summer, they DO hold in the poop smell, much more so than thinner plastic bags. And they have never leaked.As for their size: Best for medium-sized and small dogs. My current dog is just under 50 pounds, so considered a medium dog. I've had larger dogs and for them, I used the HippoSac brand bags, which are much larger & longer, and also thick, but those don't have handles.The one drawback to these bags is the price. They're rather pricey for a relatively low number of them. Figure I walk my dog a minimum of twice a day, since she eats twice a day and poops twice a day. Sometimes she gets a third walk, especially at night if she's had the Zoomies and/or if I've spoiled her with extra treats. So really, one box of these doesn't last long enough to justify the asking price.I'm currently in a state where single-use plastic bags that we used to get for free at the grocery store, are outlawed now. So, no more stash of free bags after shopping; buying poop bags here is a must.I can honestly recommend these for medium-sized and small dogs.

These are amazing. They prevent the smell of litter or poop from stinking. I like these as they have handles so it’s easy to tie closed. Perfect size for cleaning the litter box. I have a large trash can in my garage that I empty 2 X a week. These bags really help minimize any odors from what is in the bag. I tried cheaper bags but they don’t hide the odor. These are a great thickness, have never torn, just a great quality.

It's a great product that you can use to pick up your dog's business. I love the handles because it makes it easier to tie it up and carry it as you're walking your dog. Very durable and functionality.

Earth Rated BIOHANDLE120 easy-tie handle lavender scented dog waste bags. I live in CA, where our free multi-use grocery bags have been banned by the Eco-Nazis. I purchased these bags for cat litter, but ordered the wrong size. There is a larger 11x13 bag available, however, it does not have handles. The handles, in my opinion, are what make these bags desirable, a big plus because they are so much easier to tie shut.I contacted the company to find out what they recommend for cat litter, and found them to be very friendly, cheerful, and helpful. They even said they would ship out the larger bags to me. Since I have these bags, I'm going to go ahead and submit a review for them as they are a good quality bag at an economical price, and certainly serve the purpose for which they are intended.So, let's get the minor and inconsequential negative out of the way first: These bags come in a dispenser box, but they really don't dispense easily. I tried to pull first from the back fold and then from the front, and you really have to fight to get a bag out. NO BIG DEAL, believe me.THE GOOD: The bags are very well-made and sturdy, appear to be strong and pliable without being bulky and stiff, and measurements are exact as stated. The lavender scent is pleasant without being overbearing. The handle, including the top seam allowance (about 1/4"), is 4" long. The body of the bag, excluding the bottom seam allowance (about 1/4") is 9.5" deep. From side-to-side, the bag measures 7" wide, the side gusset measures 4-5/8" wide. I'm mathematically challenged, but I think if you add 7+4-5/8, you should have a total bag width of 12.25". Double that, and you have a total bag circumference of 24.5".I use a small wastebasket that measures 9" tall/deep by 7.5" wide side-to-side, and 23.5" around. This size container accommodates a standard litter scoop quite well. This bag fits snugly on my wastebasket, with an approximate 1" fold-over at the top. The bottom of the bag, however, will not go all the way down to the bottom of the basket. So, as the bag fills and becomes heavier, the weight of the contents will pull the very top edge of the bag down and over the sides, which leaves a space for litter to slide down the side between the basket and the bag. The handles do remain outside and grip the grab holes on my basket. While not ideal, it is serviceable.I currently have two litter boxes, and since I just got the bags and haven't used them yet, I'm going to guess they will hold a day's worth of scooping (from morning to bedtime) for 2 cats. (This is where the handles come in handy, so you can loosely tie off the bag to control odor if you don't throw it away after each scoop.) So, how long the bags last will depend on whether you discard after each scoop, or at the end of the day. This size bag will not hold a box-full of cat litter, only the scooped waste.Yes, I would recommend this product.

Good for cleaning the cat box. Wide opening that allows for larger scoops without it making a mess. Nice and thick so no breaking. Contains odors well.

I’m really excited to try these bags! I’ve been using the regular Earth Rated bags without handles for my dogs and have always loved how well they work durable, leakproof, and they do a great job at hiding odor. Since I’ve had such a good experience with those, I decided to give the handle version a try specifically for cleaning my kitten’s litter. The handles seem like they’ll make tying up and carrying the bags much easier, which is a nice upgrade from the standard rolls.If these hold up as well as the regular Earth Rated bags I use for my dogs, I’m confident they’ll be just as reliable and convenient. Excited to see how they work out!

Heavy duty, bigger than normal bags and love the handles! Nice price too!
