Eyoyo EYH2 Handheld USB Wired 2D 1D Barcode Scanner for POS Mobile Payment

It's plug-n-play and scans very quickly. No problems with 2D barcodes or scanning QR codes and did so easily without errors. Not a heavy duty build quality but good enough for in an office and priced right!

It is so easy to get scammed over the internet these days. As careful as one can be, sooner or later everyone falls for a misdirected scam. Most cell phones have an app that scans bar/QR codes and takes you directly to the website. But how do you know the code is legitimate? Plus, what if you want to scan something into your laptop/desktop computer? This bar code reader is easy to setup and use. I plug it into the USB port. It is automatically recognized by my OS. Before scanning, I open Notepad, place the cursor inside Notepad, and scan the code. The contents of the bar/QR code appear as text inside Notepad. I can examine the contents and determine if it is legitimate or a fake address. It it's a good address I know I can scan the code using my cell phone. If using my laptop/desktop computer, I will open the web browser, place the cursor in the address bar and scan the code again. Viola! Now-a-days hackers, phishers and scammers make a legitimate address look almost like the real thing. With more people and businesses using QR codes, it's hard to tell if there is anything harmful embedded into the code. This inexpensive handheld scanner can let you "know before you go" to a web site. It's another tool in your arsenal to protect yourself while being online.

I bought this to aid in dealing with barcodes on products I've purchased. Makes filling in registrations easier. Scan code into notepad. Copy paste what I need into registration site. It also read the 2d laser etched on various esp32 processors I have on hand to get MAC address and other data. These readers used to be too expensive for my occasional use but now quite reasonable.

The barcode reading is very good. The ability to read QR codes is a plus. The barcode reading is better than other readers I have used for lower quality barcodes. The only concern is because it reads QR codes it may pick on the incorrect barcodes if they are close together and narrow. But a piece of paper helps with shielding one of the codes. But I still find it worth for trouble with the reading quality I get on trouble codes. And it is an excellent bargain for the quality.

Super bueno

It's fine if you have simple needs. I think I expected this to work out-of-the-box, but also have an extensive manual or maybe software to do more complex prefix/suffix programming. It really doesn't. Anything complex you have to email Eyoyo support each and every time. They will not send you a more comprehensive manual to do anything yourself, you will have to contact them for any programming change.

Scans barcodes printed on paper but will not scan any screen. Tried scanning from a laptop, a PC monitor, and a smartphone. It didn't read any of them. So it's useless for my needs and is unfortunately past the return window.

This barcode scanner was so easy to use with my Windows11 PC at home as well as at work. The scanner comes with a handy little booklet that allows you to change all kinds of settings. The only setting I needed to change was to make it silent so I can use it at work without disturbing anybody around me. I just scanned the code in the booklet, and the sound was muted. I reached out to the vendor to ask for an electronic copy of the booklet (knowing full well that I am going to misplace the booklet at some point). I was floored by the fact that I received the booklet in pdf format within 30 minutes. Unmatched customer service (thanks Wendy!). 5 stars for the product and 6 stars for the customer service.

Works like a charm , we haven't had any issues, easy to program and verry accurate. It was worth every penny.
